Joel Embiid To Be Re-Evaluated In One Week For Sinus Fracture

Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (face) will be out for at least one week after suffering a sinus fracture against the Indiana Pacers on Friday. According to Shams Charania, the big man will be re-evaluated in one week. In the meantime, Andre Drummond will continue to get plenty of minutes at center along with Guerschon Yabusele. Especially since Adem Bona (knee) is also ruled out. Drummond currently averages 7.8 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 1.4 steals per game compared to Yabusele's 9.6 points, 5.4 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 1.5 threes per contest.

Joel Embiid Won't Return On Friday

Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (eye) won't return to Friday's game against the Indiana Pacers. The big man exited to the locker room after getting hit in the face while going for a rebound in the second quarter. The organization has decided to hold out Embiid for the rest of the night while he undergoes further testing. There is a concern that he injured his already repaired orbital fracture. Fantasy managers should get more information in the next day or two. Andre Drummond figures to start in the second half and will see an increased workload until Embiid is able to get back on the court. Drummond was a strong fantasy option when Embiid was out earlier in the season, so he could be worth snagging again.

Joel Embiid Looks Good In Return On Sunday

Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (knee) was available for Sunday's meeting with the Bulls. His last appearance was back on November 20 in the loss to the Grizzlies. However, after weeks of uncertainty, the 30-year-old was back on the floor to post one of his best showings of the 2024-25 campaign, finishing the win by amassing 31 points, 12 rebounds, and two blocks. Without question, fantasy managers were delighted to finally see Embiid back in uniform, even if he failed to make any of his five attempts from deep. While the team will likely be overly cautious with him for the remainder of the year, he should be good to go when the Sixers play again on Friday versus the Indiana Pacers.

Joel Embiid Considered Questionable For Sunday

Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Chicago Bulls. The former MVP has been sidelined for the last seven games due to a left knee injury, but there's a possibility he will return for Sunday's contest. If Embiid is unable to go, Andre Drummond and Guerschon Yabusele are expected to continue taking on expanded roles. Embiid has struggled to find a rhythm this season, and fantasy managers are hoping he can return to full health soon to help get the 76ers' season back on track.

Andre Drummond Upgraded To Available

Philadelphia 76ers center Andre Drummond (ankle) will suit up against Orlando on Friday. The 31-year-old rebounding machine will return from a two-game absence. With the 76ers frontcourt battling injuries, Drummond has carved out a decent role in the rotation. He has averaged 8.1 points and 8.2 rebounds with 1.3 steals in 20.4 minutes this season. Orlando is a mediocre rebounding team, so Drummond should have a productive night at the office. He will start the contest alongside Guerschon Yabusele, Paul George, Kelly Oubre Jr., and Tyrese Maxey.
