Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Now Uncertain For Friday Night

Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (wrist) is uncertain to play on Friday versus Dallas. He hasn't been listed on the league's official injury report, at least not yet. However, after dropping 40 points on the Cavs on Thursday, SGA is now dealing with a sore wrist. For now, fantasy managers should consider him a game-time call. But if Gilgeous-Alexander isn't out there, Luguentz Dort and Jalen Williams should both see a bump in scoring chances. Alex Caruso and Isaiah Joe may also enter the starting lineup, giving one of them upside for fantasy managers.

Isaiah Hartenstein Out At Least A Week

On Wednesday, the Oklahoma City Thunder announced that center Isaiah Hartenstein (calf) sustained a left soleus strain in Tuesday's game against the 76ers and he will be re-evaluated in one week, according to Tim Bontemps of ESPN.com. The 26-year-old German center is out until at least the Jan. 22 matchup with the Jazz. Until the big man returns, Jaylin Williamswill see plenty of extra minutes at center.

Alex Caruso Ready To Return Tuesday Against Philadelphia

Oklahoma City Thunder guard Alex Caruso (hip) is not on the Thunder's injury report for their Tuesday matchup in Philadelphia, signaling that the 30-year-old is ready to return from a 10-game absence due to a left-hip strain. In his 20 games this year with the Thunder, Caruso has 5.5 points, 2.9 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.9 steals in 19.9 minutes per game. Caruso's defensive presence and intensity will be a nice addition to an already thriving Thunder rotation, but he could siphon minutes from Cason Wallace, Aaron Wiggins, and Isaiah Joe as he establishes himself off the bench.

Alex Caruso To Remain Out For 10th Consecutive Game

Oklahoma City Thunder guard/forward Alex Caruso (hip) will sit out a 10th consecutive game when the Western Conference leaders face Washington on Sunday. Caruso hasn't seen action since Dec. 23 due to a hip strain. Ajay Mitchell (toe) initially had a good run in the rotation when Caruso dropped out of the lineup, but he is also now injured. Cason Wallace has started to log 30 minutes regularly, with Isaiah Joe's playing time also getting a boost recently. He exploded for 31 points in 30 minutes, with eight triples on Friday against the Knicks. Joe could undoubtedly do damage again on Sunday against the worst defense in the National Basketball Association.

Alex Caruso Ruled Out For Wednesday

Oklahoma City Thunder guardAlex Caruso(hip) has been ruled out ahead of Wednesday's game against the Cavaliers. Caruso is set to miss his eighth game in a row due to a lingering hip issue. His next opportunity to suit up will come on Friday versus the Knicks. Luguentz DortandCason Wallacefigure to continue seeing increased roles in the rotation during the 30-year-olds absence. Dort is the slightly better fantasy option than Wallace, but both players are low-end streaming options while Caruso is sidelined.
