Kelly Olynyk Tagged As Questionable On Monday

New Orleans Pelicans center/forward Kelly Olynyk (finger) is dealing with a sprained finger and has been tagged as questionable for Monday's game against the Detroit Pistons. Yves Missi (ankle) and Zion Williamson (personal) are also considered questionable for this contest, so the Pelicans could be very thin in the frontcourt if everyone is ruled out. If Olynyk can't play, Missi would take over the starting spot if he's cleared. On the other hand, Karlo Matkovic and Jeremiah Robinson-Earl would get a big bump in opportunities. Matkovic has received the most time on the court though and registered a double-double in their last game.

Marcus Smart Iffy For Monday

Washington Wizards guard Marcus Smart (illness) remains on the injury report for a non-COVID illness and is considered questionable for Monday's matchup with the Portland Trail Blazers. The former Defensive Player of the Year was forced to miss the last game against the Denver Nuggets, but may only have to face a one-game absence. If he remains sidelined, however, Bub Carrington should see some added minutes off of the bench while AJ Johnson will likely get some added opportunities as well. Carrington has enjoyed the best month of his season with averages of 11.3 points, 5.1 assists, and 4.0 rebounds per game in March.

GG Jackson II Sent Down To G League

Memphis Grizzlies forward GG Jackson II has been going through a bit of a rough patch lately and was assigned to the team's G League affiliate on Monday. The 20-year-old missed the first half of the season due to injury and returned to the court on January 20. Since then, he's averaged 7.8 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.0 assists, and 1.2 threes per game. His efficiency has been rough, to say the least, with shooting splits of .392/.337/.737. This should open up some more minutes for Vince Williams Jr., Jaylen Wells, and even Lamar Stevens.

Jakob Poeltl Ruled Out For Monday

Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.careports that Toronto Raptors center, Jakob Poeltl(rest), won't play against the Phoenix Suns on Monday. Poeltl will have the evening off to rest for the second half of a back-to-back set after finishing with 19 points, eight rebounds, three assists, and two steals across 25 minutes in Sunday's 105-102 loss to Portland. The 29-year-old will likely be back for Thursday's matchup with Golden State. Until then, Orlando Robinson should take on the majority of minutes at the center this evening.

RJ Barrett Sidelined Again On Monday

Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.careports that Toronto Raptors guardRJ Barrett(illness) is unavailable for Monday's matchup with the Phoenix Suns. Barrett is dealing with an illness that will keep him out for the second consecutive contest. His absence would probably mean more action forJamison Battle,A.J. Lawson, andJamal Shead. Lawson is the best streaming option between the three, but Battle might offer some low-end value as he's played over 30 minutes in two of the last three games.
