New Orleans Pelicans guard/forward Trey Murphy III (ankle) will not suit up for Tuesday's contest against Minnesota. He injured his left ankle on Sunday against Washington and will sit out at least one game. However, Murphy III is expected to make a quick return, as the team considers him day-to-day. Brandon Boston Jr. and Jordan Hawkins might play larger roles in the rotation with Murphy III out, although this will depend on Zion Williamson's (hamstring) status. The high-flying star is on track to return to action this week and has been listed as questionable for Tuesday's game.

New Orleans Pelicans guard Dejounte Murray (elbow) is questionable to face Minnesota on Tuesday. He has injured his right elbow. However, the injury didn't keep Murray from posting his first triple-double of the season in Sunday's matchup against Washington, so there should be a good chance he will remain in the lineup. Jose Alvarado and Brandon Boston Jr. will be in line to receive additional work if Murray can't play against the Timberwolves. Both players have had strong outings in 2024-25 but haven't performed consistently, making them risky options for fantasy managers.

New Orleans Pelicans forward Zion Williamson (hamstring) has been listed as questionable for Tuesday's meeting with Minnesota. After recovering from a hamstring strain, Williamson could see his first action since Nov. 6. Williamson looked good during the early parts of the season before getting hurt. He posted 22.7 points, 8.0 rebounds, 5.3 assists, and 1.2 blocks across six games. Considering he's been out for two months, it seems almost certain that Williamson will only be given limited work initially, so fantasy managers should temper their expectations for the first few games.

New Orleans Pelicans forward Trey Murphy III (ankle) exited Sunday's win over the Wizards. He did not return. The 24-year-old was having himself a game, accumulating 22 points, eight boards, two steals, and one block before his departure due to a left ankle sprain. The Pelicans are already without Brandon Ingram (ankle) and Zion Williamson (hamstring), so losing Murphy wouldn't be an ideal scenario, especially since he's easily having the best year of his career. But if he's not on the floor on Tuesday versus the Minnesota Timberwolves, Brandon Boston Jr. may enter the starting lineup, although it would likely be Herbert Jones, Dejounte Murray, and CJ McCollum who benefit the most.

New Orleans Pelicans guard Dejounte Murray (elbow) was originally listed as questionable for Sunday's game in Washington D.C., but he was upgraded to available before tip-off. Murray has been a big part of the Pelicans recent rotation, averaging 13.6 points, 8.0 assists, 5.6 rebounds, and 3.0 steals in 33.1 minutes per game in his last five games. He had 11 points, 12 assists, and three steals on Friday against the Wizards, but his season-long shooting woes continue. On Sunday, Murray and the Pelicans will look to get back-to-back wins after losing 11 straight before winning the first half of this home-and-home set.
