New Orleans Pelicans guard Dejounte Murray (elbow) will play on Monday against Utah. The former Hawk continues to battle an elbow injury. While he's appeared on the injury report often as of late because of the ailment, it hasn't kept him off the floor. The Pelicans won't have Zion Williamson (illness) on Monday night, so Murray, CJ McCollum, and Trey Murphy III should all benefit. Utah is also one of the worst defensive teams in the National Basketball Association, which is another positive for fantasy managers regarding Murray's potential.

Murray, along with the entire Pelicans' roster, has had some injury troubles this year, but hasn't needed to miss a game since the end of November. The Jazz have a lengthy injury report, so Murray could be in line for a good night while Brandon Ingram (ankle) and Herbert Jones (shoulder) remain sidelined. In a down year, he still averages 17.2 points, 7.6 assists, 6.5 rebounds, and 2.3 steals per game.

Murray has been dealing with right elbow soreness but has been able to play through it. The 28-year-old has started to heat up from deep, shooting 42.1% from three over his last five games on 7.6 attempts per game. Three of those games have been with Zion Williamson active. In the games Williamson has not been active he's only taken five threes in each game. With Williamson inactive tonight, Murray may not take as many threes but should still be a factor against a weakened Dallas team.
