New Orleans Pelicans forward Javonte Green (ankle) is questionable for Thursday's game against Sacramento. A sore left ankle may keep Green off the court for a second consecutive game. Green has been a big beneficiary of New Orleans' injury troubles this season, starting in 12 contests. However, the Pelicans have started to get everybody back, making Green an afterthought. He's only had 5.0 points and 2.8 rebounds as a reserve. Jeremiah Robinson-Earl might receive additional work without Green, although the Pelicans frontcourt will also have Daniel Theis back in the lineup after he sat out three games due to neck spasms.
New Orleans Pelicans forward Javonte Green (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's contest against San Antonio. He was already iffy for the game due to ankle soreness and will sit out his first action of the campaign. Green recently had a good spell as a starter on the New Orleans team, but he's been limited to a bench role in the last couple of games. Herbert Jones is fresh back from injury and should soak in Green's minutes, along with Trey Murphy III and Brandon Boston Jr. All three players also benefit from Brandon Ingram's (ankle) absence.
New Orleans Pelicans forward Brandon Ingram (ankle) is expected to miss significant time after suffering an injury during Saturday's game. The Pelicans announced on Sunday that Ingram has suffered a left ankle sprain and will be out indefinitely. This is another significant blow to a Pelicans roster that is already is already without Zion Williamson (hamstring) for the foreseeable future. The loss of Ingram should mean increased value for Herbert Jones, Trey Murphy III, and possibly Brandon Boston Jr. as well. Both Jones and Murphy are already playing big minutes, so the loss of Ingram will probably impact Boston the most. Boston has scored double-digits in four straight games and should have streaming appeal with the Pelicans banged up right now.
According to Jim Eichenhofer of the New Orleans Pelicans official site, forwardHerbert Jones (shoulder) will play Thursday against the Phoenix Suns. The 26-year-old hasn't suited up since October 29, missing 18 consecutive contests with a right shoulder strain. Being out of action for a while, Jones's minutes will most definitely be restricted until he can get back into game shape. At this time, he will not be a fantasy factor.
New Orleans Pelicans forward Brandon Ingram (calf) is available for Thursday's game against the Phoenix Suns. Ingram will return to action after missing the team's last five contests due to right calf soreness. The 27-year-old is a key offensive weapon for the Pelicans, averaging 22.9 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 5.4 assists in 33.6 minutes per game this season. His return provides a much-needed boost to a New Orleans squad looking to gain some momentum, and fantasy managers will be glad to have him back in their lineups.
