Miami Heat forward Jimmy Butler is reportedly eager to stay with the team. "My sense is Jimmy Butler does not want to be anywhere but Miami," said NBA insider Shams Charania on the Pat McAfee Show on Tuesday. "Sense is that he loves it in Miami. But again, he is extension-eligible this year. There are multiple teams out there that would give him an extension." There have been reports of Butler's former team, the Philadelphia 76ers, being ready to offer him a maximum extension to lure him back to the City of Brotherly Love. A move elsewhere could have a negative impact on Butler's fantasy value because he might be forced to play a lesser role next to another superstar or two.

Miami Heat forward Nikola Jovic is hoping to take another step forward in 2024-25. "There's not one thing that I can focus on, I have to focus on so many of them, like from shooting to dribbling, passing, basically everything," Jovic told Cyro Asseo de Choch of HoopsHype, "I feel like there's so much room and space where I can improve, and I feel like I'll show it at least a little more next season." Jovic, who turned 20 at the weekend, averaged 7.7 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 2.0 assists in 19.5 minutes this season. He finished the campaign as a starter and could be someone to keep an eye on next season in fantasy basketball.

Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kyle Anderson has loved his spell with the team and wants to extend his stay. The versatile forward inked a two-year, $18 million contract with the T-Wolves in 2022. His playing time dropped significantly in 2023-24, which also had an impact on the rest of his numbers, but Anderson has pointed to family reasons as a major factor for wanting to stay in Minnesota. Playing for a successful team is definitely appealing for him as well. Anderson, who will turn 31 in September, averaged 6.4 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 4.2 assists in 22.6 minutes this season.

Miami Heat forward Haywood Highsmith will be a popular man in free agency after finishing off a three-year, $3.9 million deal. Speaking on the Locket On Heat podcast, Michael Scotto of HoopsHype noted that Highsmith "has a lot of interest around the league." The 27-year-old posted career numbers in multiple categories in 2023-24, averaging 6.1 points and 3.2 rebounds in 20.7 minutes, with 39.6 percent shooting from deep. He hasn't been a fantasy factor, but Highsmith is seen as a good defender, and it looks like this will help him secure a good contract this offseason.

Miami Heat guard/forward Duncan Robinson is eager to develop further despite turning 30 in April. "I just turned 30, which is crazy," Robinson recently told Anthony Chiang of The Miami Herald. "But what might even be crazier is I still think I'm far from a finished product. Maybe a lot of people say that 28 to whatever is your prime, but I feel like my prime is still ahead of me." After having stints out of the rotation last season, Robinson enjoyed a bounce-back year in 2023-24. He averaged 12.9 points, 2.5 rebounds, and a career-high 2.8 assists with 39.5 percent shooting from deep. Robinson is mostly seen as a three-point specialist and definitely has room for improvement in other areas.
