Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant (hip) has already missed the last five games due to injury and it doesn't sound like he's on the verge of returning. Head coach Taylor Jenkins said on Tuesday that Morant's imaging on his hip came back positive. Despite that, Morant is still considered week-to-week, so this isn't great news for fantasy managers. The assumption is that Morant will be out until at least early December. Scotty Pippen Jr. and Jaylen Wells have been picking up the slack with Morant being sidelined. Both players are worth looking at while the Grizzlies are shorthanded in the backcourt.

Memphis Grizzlies forward/center Brandon Clarke (toe) could be out for the first time this season on Wednesday versus the Lakers, with the team listing him as questionable on the injury report. Clarke has been a starter for Memphis for the past couple of games, replacing Zach Edey. However, he's not had a big impact in the role, averaging 7.5 points and 5.0 rebounds in 17.0 minutes. Edey might return to the starting unit if Clarke is out on Wednesday, although the team could also replace him with Marcus Smart (ankle), who is on the cusp of returning to the lineup.

Memphis Grizzlies point guard Ja Morant (hip) is considered week-to-week. The team announced Morant has been diagnosed with a posterior hip subluxation and multiple Grade 1 pelvic muscle strains. He will miss a second consecutive game on Sunday versus Portland. Memphis is also without Marcus Smart (ankle) and Desmond Bane (oblique), meaning the Scotty Pippen Jr. train is in full flow again. Making his first start of the campaign, Pippen Jr. produced his first career triple-double against Washington on Friday. As a result of the injuries, Jaylen Wells has also become a starter. Luke Kennard has just returned from injury and should get a chance to play a larger role as well.

Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant (hip) has been ruled out ahead of Friday's game against the Washington Wizards. This doesn't come as a huge surprise after Morant was forced to exit early on Wednesday due to injury. The Grizzlies haven't given a timetable for Morant, so the assumption is that it's a day-to-day issue. Scotty Pippen Jr. should see heavy playing time with Morant sidelined on Friday. Pippen finished with 14 points, six rebounds, and four assists in 25 minutes of action on Wednesday. Fantasy managers should consider Pippen a solid streaming option while Morant is out.

Memphis Grizzlies point guard Ja Morant injured his hamstring during the third quarter in the Grizzlies' matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers. Morant went up for a lob attempt and got blocked by Lakers center Christian Koloko before tumbling to the ground. The play happened with about 3:50 left in the third quarter. Luke Kennard checked in for Morant about 30 seconds later and Morant didn't return to the game after. No details have been released by the team yet regarding Morant's hamstring, but fantasy managers should certainly keep an eye on the superstar's condition going forward. Memphis' next game is Friday against the Washington Wizards. If Morant is unable to play, expect Scotty Pippen Jr. to take the reins at point guard.
