Norman Powell Uncertain For Sunday

Los Angeles Clippers guard Norman Powell (back) is currently listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers. This is not good news considering the Clippers already have a handful of players on the injury report. Powell has really stepped up this season with Kawhi Leonard (knee) being unavailable for most of the season. It's worth noting that Leonard has been removed from the injury report ahead of Sunday's game. That being said, Powell is likely to take a backseat in terms of scoring with Leonard on the court. Fantasy managers should still be able to get positive results from Powell, but his value might take a dip with Leonard back in the mix.

James Harden Tagged As Questionable For Sunday

Los Angeles Clippers guard James Harden (illness) is currently listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers. Harden only missed two games this season, so it seems unlikely that he'll sit out due to an illness. Although, the severity of the illness is unknown at the moment, so fantasy managers will have to check back for another update. Terance Mann could be asked to move into the starting five if Harden is unable to go. Also, Bones Hyland and Kevin Porter Jr. would likely be asked to play more on Sunday. None of them have really brought much to the table this season in terms of fantasy value.

Kawhi Leonard Will Not Play Thursday

Los Angeles Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard (knee) will not play on the second night of the Clippers' back-to-back when they visit the Trail Blazers on Thursday. On Wednesday, Leonard played 24 minutes and had 23 points and two rebounds in the franchise-record 59-point win over the Nets, but the star will get Thursday off for injury management. Coach Ty Lue said before Wednesday's game that the plan was for Kawhi to get Thursday off, so it's no surprise that the team announced he is out. His absence will leave more work and upside for James Harden, Normal Powell, and Derrick Jones Jr. as the Clippers look to win their third straight game since having their game against the Hornets postponed last weekend.

Derrick Jones Jr. Moving Into Starting Five

Los Angeles Clippers forward Derrick Jones Jr. will move into the starting five ahead of Wednesday's game against the Brooklyn Nets. Head coach Ty Lue has decided to tweak his starting unit and move Jones into the starting unit on Wednesday. Kris Dunn will head to the bench after posting a dud during his 25 minutes of action on Monday. Jones has been decent this season, but he isn't someone worth starting in most fantasy formats right now. So far, Jones is averaging 9.7 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 0.9 assists in 24 minutes per game this season.

Ben Simmons Out For Back End Of Back-To-Back

Brooklyn Nets guard Ben Simmons (back) has been ruled out for Wednesday night's matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers. With this being the second leg of a back-to-back this is more of a rest spot for Simmons and the Nets as he had missed three games before returning for Brooklyn's prior three games. The 28-year-old hasn't had a huge fantasy impact in terms of points but has averaged 5.3 RPG and 7.1 APG, providing value to those in category leagues. In his absence expect D'Angelo Russell to facilitate Brooklyn's offense. Russell has averaged 8.3 APG in his four games as a Net this season.
