San Francisco Giants starting pitcher Blake Snell (groin) is expected to make his return to the mound on Tuesday against the Toronto Blue Jays. The southpaw has been sidelined for over a month due to a groin strain. Before that, Snell had an ugly 9.64 ERA through six starts with San Francisco. He looked fantastic with nine strikeouts over five scoreless innings during his latest rehab start. Hopefully, the time off has helped Snell get back on track.

San Francisco Giants second baseman Thairo Estrada (wrist, thumb) began a hitting program prior to Thursday's series finale against the hosting Atlanta Braves, and he will continue his progression during this weekend's series in Cleveland against the Guardians. Estrada is recovering from discomfort in his left wrist and thumb, but if he doesn't need a brief minor-league rehab assignment before returning to the Giants' infield, he'll be a candidate to be activated from the 10-day injured list promptly following the Midsummer Classic in mid-July. The 28-year-old Venezuelan infielder was batting just .231 (68-for-295) with a .640 OPS, nine home runs, 39 RBI, and one stolen base while regularly hitting in the lower part of San Fran's lineup in 77 games prior to the injuries, so he's not necessarily a must-stash player in shallow fantasy leagues. In the meantime, the lefty-hitting Brett Wisely will serve as the primary second baseman.

Detroit Tigers outfielder/first baseman Mark Canha is out of the starting lineup ahead of Friday's game against the Cincinnati Reds. The veteran slugger will take a seat for the second time in the last three games. Possibly, Canha is dealing with a minor injury but he hasn't been great with the bat anyway. Gio Urshela will start at first base while Riley Greene and Parker Meadows cover the corner outfield spots on Friday.

San Francisco Giants outfielder Mike Yastrzemski (elbow) is back in the starting lineup ahead of Friday's game against the Cleveland Guardians. Yastrzemski was removed from Thursday's contest after getting hit by a pitch in the elbow. It originally sounded like Yastrzemski was going to sit out of Friday's game but he's now a late addition to the lineup. The 33-year-old will bat seventh and cover right field versus right-hander Tanner Bibee on Friday. Fantasy managers should adjust their lineups ahead of first pitch.

San Francisco Giants outfielder Mike Yastrzemski (elbow) is out of the team's starting lineup for Friday's series opener against the hosting Cleveland Guardians. Yastrzemski was hit by a pitch on his elbow in the Fourth of July game on Thursday. However, X-rays came back negative, so the 33-year-old left-handed hitter should be considered day-to-day for now. Check back to see if he rejoins the starting lineup of the second game of the series on Saturday. With Yaz sidelined, Michael Conforto, Heliot Ramos and Luis Matos will start across the outfield for the Giants from left to right, respectively, against Guardians right-hander Tanner Bibee. When healthy, Yastrzemski can provide modest power for fantasy managers in deep-mixed leagues against right-handed pitching. He's currently sporting a .722 OPS with seven homers and 28 RBI in 195 at-bats on the year.
