Los Angeles Angels shortstop Zach Neto had a standout performance in Game 2 of Wednesday's doubleheader in the Bronx against the hosting New York Yankees, recording three hits with a home run and six RBI in the victory. It was a prolific eight-RBI Wednesday for Neto, who terrorized the Yankees by belting a two-run homer in the matinee before hammering a grand slam to left-center field to give the Angels a 6-0 lead in the second inning of the nightcap. He put the cherry on top of a massive day by lacing a two-run double to right-center field to extend Anaheim's lead to 8-1 in the fourth frame. While the 23-year-old former first-round pick has been fairly steady all year long, he's been especially productive of late, batting .333 (24-for-72) with five long balls, 20 RBI, 18 runs scored, and six stolen bases in 23 games since July 10.
Los Angeles Angels shortstop Zach Neto went 2-for-3 with a three-run go-ahead home run in the seventh inning of Saturday's 5-4 win over the Mets. Neto finished with four RBI, two runs scored, and he also walked once in the contest. The 23-year-old has been a multi-category contributor for fantasy this season, posting a .255-14-51-48-19 line with a .328 wOBA and 110 wRC+. The former first-round draft pick will see LHP Jose Quintana in the series finale with the Mets on Sunday, and Neto has been much better versus lefties this season, with a .419/.455/.565 slashline against them (.222/.291/.407 versus RHP).
Los Angeles Angels shortstop Zach Neto stole two bases in an 8-2 loss to the Oakland Athletics Saturday afternoon. Neto is putting together an impressive campaign in 2024, hitting .258 with 13 home runs, 44 RBI, 16 stolen bases and 39 runs scored in 353 plate appearances. In the month of July, the young infielder is hitting .306 with two homers, six RBI, five stolen bases and six runs scored. At some point maybe the Angels and manager Ron Washington will look to move Neto up in the order; today he hit sixth in the lineup.
Los Angeles Angels shortstop Zach Neto went 3-for-4 with two singles and a home run on Friday evening. The 23-year-old has been performing very well since the start of the month with a .304/.347/.500 line, two home runs, five RBI, three stolen bases, and a 2:7 BB:K ratio. Overall, through his second season at the major league level, the Campbell University product has showcased a nice combination of speed with 13 round-trippers and 14 stolen bases. In addition, he holds a solid .257/.304/.446 line with 43 RBI. Neto is worth starting in deeper leagues as he shaping up to be a solid five-category contributor and is worth a look in DFS in favorable matchups.
Los Angeles Angels shortstop Zach Neto had a big night in helping power his team to a 7-2 win over the Texas Rangers on Wednesday. Neto went 3-for-4 with a double, a homer, two runs, and three RBI in the win. The 23-year-old shortstop kicked off the scoring for the Angels with an RBI single in the bottom of the second. He later ripped a two-run homer in the eighth inning to give the Angels a pair of insurance runs. Neto is putting together a productive season for LA, hitting .250 with 20 doubles, 12 homers, 35 runs, 42 RBI, and 14 steals across 308 at-bats. His all-around production makes him a solid starting infielder in mixed fantasy leagues moving forward.
