Best MLB DFS Plays Today (Free)

A common mistake novice MLB DFS players make is treating it like fantasy baseball — simply trying to predict who will do the best on a given slate. This is fine for cash games, but GPPs are more complex. GPPs require more thought. We need to stack certain offenses, we need high-probability plays, and we need contrarian upside to help us separate from the rest of the field. This is how we make the big bucks! Simply put, we are playing the game of DFS, not fantasy baseball.

Our GPP Scores are a tremendous help in that endeavor. They tell us whether each player is under-rostered (positive GPP Score) or over-rostered (negative GPP Score). For a complete guide on how to use the GPP Scores to build lineups, check out the Sweet Spot article from April 29.

We also have an incredibly powerful and intuitive optimizer and a daily Sweet Spot article breaking down each slate. Most subscribers find a ton of value in our discord as well, not just for the additional analysis but for the camaraderie and community. All of that said, you’re here for free plays.

Even this best MLB DFS plays article seeks to help with the process of building great DFS lineups. The standard high-priced/mid-priced/low-priced structure of free articles around the industry does you little service. None of you need to be told that Aaron Judge is a good spend-up option every single day. Instead, we will have three sections:

  • Top plays
  • High risk/high-reward plays
  • Best cheapies

The Top Plays section is not simply the players who project the best. Our Top Plays section also factors in rostership, so that we are never listing a player as a Top Play who we are suggesting our subscribers fade. Sometimes a Top Play will even be contrarian. The other two categories speak for themselves.
