Luis Rengifo Remains Out On Monday

Los Angeles Angels infielder Luis Rengifo is out of the starting lineup ahead of Monday's game against the San Diego Padres. Rengifo will miss his second game in a row as the switch-hitter is in the middle of a rough slump at the plate. He has managed only two hits over his last seven games, so he'll take another night off on Monday. In his absence, Tim Anderson will cover second base and bat ninth versus right-hander Michael King. Anderson hasn't been great with the bat, but he does have four hits over his last five games. It's still not enough to warrant rostering Anderson in fantasy formats.

Luis Rengifo Absent On Thursday

Los Angeles Angels infielder Luis Rengifo is out of the starting lineup ahead of Thursday's game against the Toronto Blue Jays. This appears to be a routine rest day for Rengifo who has been struggling at the plate latey. Rengifo has registered only one hit over his last five games, so hopefully a night off will help him get back on track. He has been a regular in the Halos lineup this season, but is really only worth rostering in deep leagues or AL-only formats. Yoan Moncada will cover third base and bat sixth versus right-hander Chris Bassitt on Thursday. Moncada has three hits over his last two hits, so the Angels will ride the hot hand.

Luis Rengifo Returns On Wednesday

Los Angeles Angels infielder Luis Rengifo (tooth) is back in the starting lineup ahead of Wednesday's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Rengifo was absent from the starting lineup on Tuesday after getting a root canal. It's worth noting that he came off the bench as a pinch-hitter late in the game. He'll be back at third base and batting seventh against left-hander Andrew Heaney on Wednesday. Rengifo is off to a sluggish start, but remains worth holding in deep leagues and AL-only formats. He has shown he has the ability to be a solid contributor, so hopefully he gets back on track soon.
