Will the Kansas City Chiefs Go Undefeated in 2024?

Share

The 2024 Kansas City Chiefs are one of the strangest 9-0 teams ever. The Chiefs being a good team is not a fluke — they rank third in total team DVOA, 10th in offensive DVOA, and fourth in defensive DVOA — but they just keep barely winning.

For real, the Chiefs are combined less than 12 inches away from being 4-5 instead of 9-0.

  • If Isaiah Likely wore white shoes in Week 1
  • A highly questionable pass interference against the Bengals
  • Stopping the Falcons on fourth-and-1
  • A coin toss against the Bucs (or Tampa going for 2!)
  • A blocked chip-shot field goal against the Broncos

It’s made all the stranger by the fact that the Chiefs are winning despite Patrick Mahomes being … kinda mid? He has a 12-9 TD-INT ratio. He has topped 300 yards just once. And yet, they keep winning.
