Boston Red Sox outfielder Jarren Duran went 4-for-5 with a homer in a 14-2 drubbing of the Chicago White Sox on Thursday. Duran set the tone with a lead-off homer in the first inning and the Red Sox didn't let up all night. The 27-year-old is off to a terrific start in June, going 10-for-21 with six runs, two homers, and four RBI. He also has two or more hits in four of five June games. While it's been a productive stretch for the lefty, he needs to steal more bases to be a true standout in fantasy, as his last steal came on May 21 and he doesn't provide enough power to be stealing infrequently.
Boston Red Sox outfielderJarren Durandid a little bit of everything in Tuesday night's 5-2 win versus the Tampa Bay Rays. He went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk, and an additional run scored in Tuesday's victory. The stolen base, his 11th on the season, was part of a double steal of home in the eighth inning, giving the Red Sox a 4-2 lead. Duran's slash line lies at .274/.342/.462, as he's been excellent at handling the Red Sox leadoff job in 2024. He's well on pace for about 40 stolen bases but has yet to produce much in the power department. Fantasy managers have to be pleased with Duran's all-around production during the season, and he should be in lineups every day.
Boston Red Sox outfielder Jarren Duran had a big game on Thursday, going 3-for-5 with a homer and two doubles in a 7-5 loss against the Tampa Bay Rays. Duran added a pair of runs and an RBI to round out his line. The lefty now has five extra-base hits in his last two games after hitting a pair of doubles yesterday and following it up with today's performance. After a slump in late April, Duran has somewhat returned to his early-season form, although the steals haven't been there recently. He isn't much of a fantasy asset without the swipes, so his owners will have to hope those come back.
Boston Red Sox outfielder Jarren Duran filled up the stat sheet on Thursday, going 1-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and a stolen base in a 5-4 loss against the Cleveland Guardians. Duran hit a triple and walked, the latter of which led to his seventh steal of the season. As the leadoff man for Boston, Duran should have ample opportunity to steal bases and so far he's made the most of it. He is a great three-category contributor who will help fantasy teams with AVG, runs, and steals while providing the occasional homer. He should be rostered in most leagues.
After coming off a three-steal performance on Monday, Boston Red Sox outfielder Jarren Duran stole another base in Tuesday's victory versus the Oakland Athletics. He also went 2-for-3 with a run and RBI. Duran has been having a big series and has been off to a nice start for the Red Sox as he sits atop their batting order. For the young season, he is now hitting .292 with four runs, two RBI and six stolen bases. Duran hasn't homered yet, but he has the ability to hit 10+ in a season to go along with helping in the stolen base department. Managers should hold onto Duran as one of the premier base stealers in the league, but he can also help with runs and batting average. He should be rostered in most formats.
