Boston Red Sox right-hander Lucas Giolito (hamstring) made his fourth minor-league rehab start on Sunday with Double-A Portland and allowed three earned runs on six hits (one homer) while walking none and fanning four in five innings of work. Over his four rehab starts with Portland and Triple-A Worcester, the 30-year-old veteran has allowed seven earned runs on 15 hits (one homer allowed) while walking seven and striking out 13 in 12 2/3 innings pitched. He got up to 65 pitches in his outing on Easter Sunday and is expected to need at least one more rehab outing on the farm before the Red Sox consider activating him from the 15-day injured list to make his debut with Boston. Fantasy managers need to remember that Giolito didn't pitch at all in 2024 after having an internal-brace procedure on his right elbow, so he's certainly going to be eased back in.

Athletics catching prospect Daniel Susac enjoyed an impressive week en route to earning Pacific Coast League Hitter of the Week honors. Over his last seven contests, Susac has begun to find his power, as he went deep three times and added three doubles. During this power surge, the 23-year-old backstop held a .400/.438/.800 slash line with 10 RBI. Before this surge, Susac held an underwhelming .174/.240/.217 slash line. The former 19th overall pick spent his entire 2024 campaign with Double-A Midland and was able to earn a promotion to Triple-A Las Vegas to open the 2025 season. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his progression, but it appears Susac has begun to turn the corner on his slow start. If the Arizona product continues to hit for power, he could push for an MLB debut later this season.

Boston Red Sox right-hander Brayan Bello (shoulder) will make his season debut on Tuesday and start against the Seattle Mariners, according to manager Alex Cora. Bello dealt with a right-shoulder injury in spring training and was forced to start the 2025 regular season on the 15-day injured list, but he's now ready to rejoin Boston's starting rotation after making four minor-league rehab starts. Although the 25-year-old had a 7.07 ERA during his rehab assignment, he did strike out 21 hitters while walking only four in his 14 innings of work with Double-A Portland and Triple-A Worcester. The Dominican hurler only got up to a maximum of 71 pitches in the minor leagues, so he probably won't be fully stretched out to go deep into his first big-league outing on Tuesday against Seattle. Fantasy managers in DFS and deeper single-year leagues would be wise to avoid Bello in his first start off the IL.

New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone said he expects first baseman/designated hitter Ben Rice (elbow) to be back in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Cleveland Guardians. Rice was hit multiple times on his left elbow on Saturday and sat out the last two games as a result. The 26-year-old was just dealing with an elbow contusion, though, and he's expected back for the second game of the series in Cleveland. Fantasy managers will want to check back later to confirm he's actually back in the starting lineup, but if he is, get him back into your lineups against Guardians right-hander Tanner Bibee. Rice is off to a great start in his first full MLB season, slashing .292/.403/.600 with a 1.003 OPS, five home runs, nine RBI and two stolen bases in his first 19 games. He didn't get a hit in either of his last two games, but he did have a four-hit outing on Thursday against the Tampa Bay Rays.

Chicago Cubs catching prospect Moises Ballesteros has continued to swing a hot bat at Triple-A. The young backstop is currently riding an impressive nine-game hitting streak. During this stretch, Ballesteros has posted a stellar .515/.575/.788 slash line with three doubles and two home runs. He has also added five RBI and seven runs. The 21-year-old received a 68-game taste of Triple-A last summer and performed quite well, holding a .281/.340/.454 line with 15 doubles and 10 home runs. It is a great sign to see Ballesteros carry this success into the 2025 campaign. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his production as he could push for an earlier-than-expected MLB debut this summer. For now, he is worth stashing in deeper NL-only formats.
