Los Angeles Angels catcher Logan O'Hoppe turned in a big day in a 12-5 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals on Wednesday. O'Hoppe went 1-for-4 with a grand slam and a strikeout in the losing effort. The veteran catcher gave the Angels a brief 5-3 lead with his seventh-inning homer with the bases loaded, but the Los Angeles bullpen was unable to hold onto it. O'Hoppe is now hitting .188 with two homers, two runs, and five RBI through 16 at-bats in the early going. After he showed some power in 2024 with 20 homers, O'Hoppe seems to be picking up where he left off in the power department, although fantasy managers would like to see him raise his batting average a bit.

Minnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton turned in an excellent game in a 6-1 win over the Chicago White Sox on Wednesday. Buxton went 2-for-4 with a double, a homer, two runs, and two RBI to help power the Twins to their second win of the season. His homer was a first-inning solo shot off Chicago starter Sean Burke, a blast that traveled 444 feet with an exit velocity of 111.7 MPH. Buxton had been off to a slow start before Wednesday as he came into the game with just two hits in 17 at-bats. He will look to keep it going as the Twins open up a four-game series against the Houston Astros on Thursday.

Chicago Cubs second baseman Nico Hoerner turned in a productive outing in a 10-2 win over the Athletics on Wednesday. Hoerner went 1-for-4 with two runs, an RBI, a walk, and two steals to help propel Chicago to the win. The veteran infielder is off to a fast start in 2025, picking up eight hits, three RBI, and three steals through his first 24 at-bats. Hoerner doesn't hit for much power but he has shown to be an excellent source of stolen bases in fantasy with 97 steals since the start of the 2022 season. He will look to stay hot moving forward.

Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Oneil Cruz went 2-for-4 with a homer, two RBI, and a steal in a 4-2 win over the Tampa Bay Rays on Wednesday. Cruz launched a solo shot off Tampa starter Ryan Pepiot in the fifth inning, giving him his second homer of the season. He later came back and added another RBI on a sacrifice fly in the ninth inning. Cruz is now hitting .261 with two homers, four runs, four RBI, and six steals across 23 at-bats in the early going as he looks to build on his first 20/20 season in 2024.

Seattle Mariners third baseman Dylan Moore turned in a solid game in a 3-2 win over the Detroit Tigers on Wednesday. Moore went 1-for-1 with a homer, two runs, two walks, and a steal in the close win over Detroit. The veteran launched his first homer of the season off 2024 Cy Young winner Tarik Skubal in the fourth inning in what would be the Mariners' final run of the game. Moore is off to a fast start in 2025, picking up three hits and three walks across five contests for a .375 batting average. This was Moore's first steal of the season after he swiped 32 bags for the Mariners last year. He will look to stay hot going forward.
