Boston Red Sox shortstop prospect Marcelo Mayer went deep for his second-straight game on Wednesday evening. In this contest, Mayer went 1-for-4 with a two-run shot that also scored fellow top prospect Roman Anthony. Since going 0-for-4 in his Triple-A debut on March 28, Mayer has tallied at least one hit in each of his past three. During this recent surge, he has posted two multi-hit outings with seven RBI and three runs. Last season, the former fourth overall pick spent his entire campaign at the Double-A level, where he held a strong .307/.370/.480 slash line. Mayer did get the call to Triple-A but was never able to appear in a contest due to hip and back injuries. Fantasy managers should continue to closely monitor Mayer's production with Worcester, as he should be in the mix for a 2025 debut.

Minnesota Twins outfielder Harrison Bader went 1-for-4 in Wednesday's 6-1 victory over the White Sox, but his one hit was a decisive one. He smashed a three-run home run to left on the first pitch he saw from Sean Burke in the fourth inning. The Twins lead went from 1-0 to a much more comfortable 4-0 with the blast, and the team cruised to a second straight win after an 0-4 start. The home run was already Bader's third blast of the season, and he has gone 4-for-16 (.250) in his five games, with all four of his hits for extra bases and eight RBI. He and the Twins are back in action on Thursday afternoon for their home opener against Houston and Hunter Brown. Bader's quick start could lead to full-time at-bats, and since he brings good speed potential along with his power surge, he's worth a look as at least a short-term solution in mixed leagues.

New York Mets right-handed pitcher Dom Hamel tossed five shutout innings in his Triple-A season debut on Wednesday evening. Hamel allowed just two hits and struck out three batters. This was a strong season debut for Hamel, who was in the mix to make the Opening Day roster. Even though Hamel fell short in the competition, the Mets could call his name later this summer. He was drafted in the third round of the 2021 MLB Draft out of Dallas Baptist. Last summer, he spent the entire campaign with Triple-A Syracuse and held a high 6.79 ERA with a 1.75 WHIP across 124 2/3 innings (27 starts). However, the right-hander was able to enjoy a strong season debut with Syracuse, which is a promising sign. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor Hamel's progression at Triple-A as he could be in the mix for his MLB debut later in the summer.

St. Louis Cardinals second base prospect Michael Helman went 3-for-6 with four runs and one RBI during their 15-3 victory over Triple-A Buffalo. Helman hit two doubles in this contest. His single in the opening frame scored infielder Thomas Saggese. The 28-year-old infielder was competing for a spot on the Opening Day roster during camp but fell short. However, Helman could be in the mix for an early-season promotion if he continues to swing a hot bat at the top level of the minor leagues. Last season, Helman appeared in his first nine MLB games and tallied three hits with two doubles. Across 199 career games at Triple-A, the Texas A&M product has held a .263/.336/.458 slash line with 44 doubles and 34 round-trippers. He is worth monitoring in deeper NL-only leagues for the time being.

Chicago Cubs third base prospect Matt Shaw went 2-for-4 with two RBI during their 10-2 victory over the Athletics on Wednesday afternoon. In the third inning, Shaw hit an RBI single, which scored Justin Turner. Later in the seventh, he would bring outfielder Pete Crow-Armstrong home on his second single. Since posting a .118/.167/.118 slash line through his first four games in the major leagues, the former first-round pick has begun to flip the script. Over his last five games, the Maryland product has posted an impressive .294/.429/.529 slash line with one double and one long ball. He has held a 4:5 BB:K over this stretch. Last summer, the 23-year-old posted an elite .298/.395/.534 line through his first 35 games at Triple-A. Fantasy managers should continue to expect the Cubs to provide Shaw an everyday opportunity at the hot corner, as long as he continues this production.
