Arizona Diamondbacks relief pitcher A.J. Puk was called upon to hold a one-run lead versus the Pittsburgh Pirates on Sunday. Originally, Ryan Thompson started the ninth inning but got into trouble which forced manager Torey Lovullo to change pitchers. Puk got the final two outs of the game to earn himself his second save of the season. The closer role is wide open in Arizona right now. That being said, Puk could be in line for more save chances if he continues to pitch well.

Chicago Cubs outfielder Ian Happ (shoulder) has been scratched from the starting lineup ahead of Sunday's game against the St. Louis Cardinals. The switch-hitter injured his shoulder while running into the wall during Saturday's game. It's believed to be a minor issue that will hopefully only force Happ to miss one game. In his absence, Mike Tauchman will bat sixth and play left field versus right-hander Miles Mikolas. Fantasy managers should adjust their lineups ahead of first pitch.

Boston Red Sox outfielder Wilyer Abreu came ready to play during Sunday's game against the Texas Rangers. Abreu has been hot with the bat recently and that continued during Sunday's contest. He went 2-for-4 with a pair of home runs and four RBI in the 7-2 victory. Abreu has three long balls during the first three games of August. He is hitting well over .300 over his last 25 games or so. Fantasy managers in need of another bat should consider adding Abreu.

Philadelphia Phillies starting pitcher Zack Wheeler was nearly unhittable on the mound during Sunday's outing against the Seattle Mariners. Wheeler piled up nine strikeouts while allowing only two hits over eight scoreless innings in the win. The 34-year-old retired the final 15 batters he faced during this outing. Wheeler has been hard to hit all season long as he takes a 2.77 ERA and 148 strikeouts into his next start against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Bryce Harper put together a solid performance at the plate during Sunday's game against the Seattle Mariners. The superstar slugger connected on a 391-foot two-run home run off Tayler Saucedo in the eighth inning. He finished the day 3-for-4 with two RBI in the win. Harper was in an awful slump at the plate over the last week or so. Hopefully this three-hit performance will help Harper get back on track. He's slashing .276/.370/544 with 25 homers and 69 RBI in 96 games this season.
