Colorado Rockies infielder Brendan Rodgers is out of the starting lineup ahead of Sunday's game against the Chicago White Sox. There doesn't appear to be an injury here, so this looks to be a routine rest day for Rodgers. As a result, Aaron Schunk will make his first career start at second base and bat ninth versus left-hander Garrett Crochet. Fantasy managers should adjust their lineups ahead of first pitch.

Arizona Diamondbacks catcher Gabriel Moreno (thumb) appears to be extremely close to making a return to the field. The organization believes that Moreno could be activated as early as Tuesday. The 24-year-old was placed on the injured list last Saturday due to a sprained left thumb. The D-Backs have said they don't believe Moreno will require a rehab assignment. That being said, Moreno should be back in the D-Backs lineup in the middle of the week. Tucker Barnhart figures to see additional playing time until Moreno returns.

Pittsburgh Pirates shortstop Oneil Cruz came up clutch for his team during Sunday's game against the Atlanta Braves. The 25-year-old smacked a 452-foot two-run home run off Spencer Schwellenbach in the fifth inning to give the Pirates the lead. Cruz finished the day 2-for-3 with two RBI and a walk in the victory. The potential is there, but Cruz has experienced an up-and-down campaign thus far. Despite that, fantasy managers should continue to stick with him.

Los Angeles Dodgers relief pitcher Joe Kelly (shoulder) won't be ready to return before the All-Star break, according to Dodgers manager Dave Roberts. The right-hander has been on the injured list since early May due to a shoulder issue. The 36-year-old will require a rehab assignment before returning. Once he returns, Kelly figures to pitch in high-leverage situations, but won't have much fantasy value because he's not the closer.

Veteran shortstop Javier Baez (back) hopes to begin a rehab assignment this coming week for the Detroit Tigers. Baez is hitting .183 with one home run, 25 RBI, and 15 runs. He is expected to report to Triple-A Toledo on Monday. Manager A.J Hinch reported that if all goes well this week, the team expects Baez back on the major league roster for the week before the All-Star break. Baez has been a disappointment for the Tigers who hope to recoup some of their investment if Baez can play better in the second half of the season.
