New York Mets closer Edwin Diaz was ejected from Sunday's game against the Chicago Cubs after a routine check for illegal substances. Diaz was about to enter in the ninth inning and was looking to preserve a 5-2 lead and lock down another save before a typical check by the umpiring crew led to him being tossed from the game. The fireballer will now face the automatic 10-game suspension that comes with every sticky stuff ejection. It's a tough loss for both the Mets and Diaz's fantasy owners, who will have to look for alternatives to get into their lineups for saves this week.

San Francisco Giants starting pitcher Robbie Ray (elbow) continued his rehab assignment in Triple-A Sacramento on Sunday, throwing 45 pitches in 2 IP. He allowed one hit and one walk while striking out a pair. Ray is in the process of a long rehab stint that is acting as his Spring Training. He will likely need a few more starts to build up his pitch count before he can return to the Giants, which will hopefully come at some point in July. Savvy fantasy managers should be looking to stash Ray, especially in leagues where IL spots are available.

San Francisco Giants starting pitcher Blake Snell (groin) labored through his first rehab start on Sunday, tossing 1 innings while allowing two runs on three hits. He didn't strike out a batter and walked three. It wasn't the appearance that Snell or the Giants were looking for and shows that he's going to need at least one more rehab start before he can return to the big league team. It's been a bit of a disaster season for Snell, who signed with the Giants late and hasn't been able to find his midseason form. Injuries haven't helped his cause, but that doesn't excuse the abysmal 9.51 ERA and 1.94 WHIP Snell has this season. Fantasy managers who own Snell know that he can turn it on at any point and look like a Cy Young candidate, but he will need to do that soon to salvage this season.

Detroit Tigers second baseman Colt Keith had a big game on Sunday, going 4-for-5 with a homer, a double, three runs scored, and three RBI in an 11-2 thumping of the Chicago White Sox. Keith, like the rest of the Tigers lineup, feasted on White Sox starter Jonathan Cannon, homering off him in the first before hitting an RBI double in the second. Although it was a nice game for the youngster, he still has a long way to go before he can be considered in any redraft fantasy format. He does have two four-hit games in the past eight days, so he should be placed on watch lists in deeper formats for now.

Toronto Blue Jays infielder Spencer Horwitz went 2-for-3 with a pair of homers in a 6-5 loss to the Cleveland Guardians on Sunday. Horwitz did his part to give his team a chance to win this one, getting on base four times, scoring three runs, and driving in two. The 26-year-old has been dynamite since his call-up on June 8, batting .366 with a 1.041 OPS in 41 at-bats. He has consistently been hitting at the top of the Jays order, and that should continue given the struggles of the rest of their lineup. He is a solid waiver wire option in deeper leagues, especially points leagues given his ability to get on base at a high rate.
