Welcome to a Friday edition of MLB best bets. This evening, we’ll look to get back on track as we take a look into the first game of a weekend set between the Los Angeles Angels and Toronto Blue Jays, taking place in the Rogers Centre.

The Angels confirmed their positions as buyers before the trade deadline, adding veteran right hander Lucas Giolito to their starting rotation after a trade with the White Sox. Fresh off a doubleheader sweep of the Tigers in Detroit, the Angels now take flight to Toronto with Giolito prepared to make his Angels debut. Waiting on them will be the crafty veteran right-hander, Kevin Gausman.
Gausman has been electric on the mound in the Rogers Centre this season. He enters with a 2.58 ERA across nine starts with 59.1 innings and 85 strikeouts across that stretch. Travel should be a heavy factor in this one as I stated early LA comes into Toronto fresh off a doubleheader in Detroit, while the Blue Jays have been at home and had the day off Thursday.
