College Football Props of the Week: Week 6

Now that we are nearing the halfway point of the college football season, we have a fairly good read on which teams to target and where the best opportunities are for certain players. Week 6 offers us some intriguing matchups and there are two prop bets that I am extremely confident in. Let’s get into it.

Cam Ward (Miami FL) 300+ Passing Yards

(-125, DraftKings Sportsbook)

The Hurricanes were tested for the first time all season against Virginia Tech but ultimately came back and won thanks to a somewhat controversial call. Ward was picked off twice in that game, but it didn’t stop him from chucking like always. He has surpassed the 300-yard mark in every game this season, and I don’t see that stopping anytime soon.

There has been chatter about the Hurricanes struggling with their trip to the West Coast Saturday, but that doesn’t worry me much at all. I’m far more concerned with West Coast teams traveling East to be honest. The Cal Bears defense has been solid, but Ward is a bona fide Heisman candidate that isn’t easily rattled.

I will continue hitting this prop until it fails, and that doesn’t happen this weekend.

Garrett Greene (West Virginia) 60+ Rushing Yards

(+115, DraftKings Sportsbook)

This one is simple. The Mountaineers are facing the Oklahoma State Cowboys, a team completely incapable of stopping the run. As we head into Week 6, they are giving up over 200 YPG on the ground and have failed to contain dual-threat quarterbacks such as Avery Johnson and Taylen Green.

Both of them rushed for well above 50 yards and there is no reason to think Greene, a highly mobile QB won’t have the same level of success. He has rushed for 68+ yards in two of his last three games. Make it three of his last four after this matchup.
