NASCAR Cup Series: Bass Pro Shops Night Race DFS

NASCAR heads to Bristol Saturday for the Bass Prop Shops Night Race in Thunder Valley. This is the third race of the playoffs. The series is running the 750 hp package again this week, so I included similar tracks with that package in my research. One track I find highly comparable is Dover where Hendrick Motorsports (Kyle Larson, Alex Bowman, William Byron, Chase Elliott) dominated that race.

You will want to make sure you have the dominators in your lineup and typically there are more than one. Research lends itself to pointing to Larson, Kyle Busch and Elliott as the favorites to dominate, but we have seen Ryan Blaney, Joey Logano and Brad Keselowski all from Penske Racing dominate this race too. Pairing the two highest-priced salaries can pay off if they both lead one-third of the race and piecing together some of my value plays around them. I would certainly use this strategy with cash games and look to pivot to Elliott, Christopher Bell or Ryan Blaney for GPP.

For this week’s race, I have six drivers in the top tier I’m banking on. I also have quite a few inexpensive drivers that I think can contribute to a winning lineup.

High-salaried drivers

  •  Kyle Larson
  •  Kyle Busch
  •  Chase Elliott
  •  Kurt Busch
  •  Denny Hamlin
  •  Ryan Blaney

Mid-priced drivers

  • Kevin Harvick
  • Christopher Bell
  • Brad Keselowski
  • Tyler Reddick
  • Matt DiBenedetto
  • Ross Chastain
  • Austin Dillon
  • Alex Bowman

Values

  • Ricky Stenhouse Jr.
  • Ryan Preece
  • Corey Lajoie
  • Bubba Wallace
  • Chris Buescher
  • Erik Jones

My core will consist of Larson, Bell and Stenhouse. I will split Elliott and Kyle Busch among that core. My core will consist of Hamlin, Almirola and Stenhouse. I will split Logano and Truex in that core as well. Follow the channel in Discord for updates leading up to race time.
