Kansas Odds to Win the Big 12 Basketball Championship
Entering conference play, Kansas has the best odds to win the Big 12 after opening the season behind Baylor. The Jayhawks have absolutely dominated the conference for two decades despite the rest of the league churning out their own great seasons year-after-year, but the race for the Big 12 figures to be tight throughout the season. In non-conference play, Kansas had a few impressive victories, most notably a neutral court win over Duke and a 22-point home win over Indiana. Now, The Jayhawks will look to ride their experience and suffocating defense to yet another regular season crown.
Baylor Odds to Win the Big 12 Basketball Championship
Baylor enters Big 12 play tied with Texas for the second-best regular season conference title odds. After entering the season as the Big 12 favorite, the Bears have just about lived up to the hype, but they did take a bad 26-point road loss to Marquette in late November. Still, Scott Drew’s team is led by elite guards who can absolutely stroke it from beyond the arc. With championship experience under their belt, they can lead Baylor to another Big 12 title if a few things break their way when they face off with the league’s other elite teams.
Texas Odds to Win the Big 12 Basketball Championship
Texas is tied with Baylor for the second-best odds to win the Big 12. The Longhorns have gone through a bit of turmoil this season with off-court issues centered around head coach Chris Beard, but they keep rolling on the court. If not for a blown lead at the end of regulation against Illinois, Texas would be undefeated and still ranked No. 1 in the country. Since that loss, they’ve fallen a bit under the radar and Kansas has emerged as the new Big 12 favorite, but the Longhorns are as talented as any team in the nation and have meshed more quickly than expected with all of their new players.

Best Bet to Win the Big 12 Basketball Championship
Texas +300
I picked Texas at +320 before the season, and I’m sticking to my guns here because this team’s versatility is nearly unmatched in college basketball. Marcus Carr, Tyrese Hunter and Sir’Jabari Rice can match up with almost any backcourt, and Texas can throw a collection of athletic bigs – led by Timmy Allen – at any opposing frontcourt. Hard-nosed defense is coded into this team’s DNA, but it’s their athleticism and offensive depth that can separate them from the rest of the Big 12.
