Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will take on the Los Angeles Rams in Week 9 in a battle of the two pre-season NFC favorites. Both of these teams are desperately looking to turn things around as the season is close to slipping away. The Bucs enter this contest having dropped six in a row against the spread and three in a row straight up, pushing them to second place in the NFC South behind the Falcons.
The Rams haven’t fared much better as of late, losing three of four, including two beatdowns at the hands of the San Francisco 49ers. To add injury to insult, star wideout Cooper Kupp sprained his ankle last week, making him questionable to play against the Bucs. Even with Kupp, Los Angeles has failed to find consistency on offense, thanks in large to an absent running game.
Whoever wins this game may right the ship, but the team that takes a loss will find themselves in deep waters at the halfway mark of the season.
