Where will Robinson play in 2021? Where should fantasy football players be rooting for him to land … and where they should be rooting for him to avoid?

Allen Robinson’s journey to free agency

Robinson has famously had to deal with putrid QB play his entire career. He’s entering his age-28 season and has played most of his games with Blake Bortles and Mitchell Trubisky. And despite this, Robinson has still dominated games and put up gaudy fantasy numbers.Robinson started his career with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2014. He went bananas during his second year, dropping 1,400 yards and 14 TDs on 80 receptions and has been good — with flashes of great — ever since.

His success has people salivating at what Robinson could accomplish playing with a good, or even great, QB. And that’s why he’s the hottest WR name to watch in 2021 free agency.

Best landing spots for Allen Robinson for fantasy football

Green Bay Packers: Should you actually be rooting for Robinson to land on one of the few teams where he wouldn’t be their No. 1 WR? Probably not … unless that team is the Packers. Reigning league MVP Aaron Rodgers clearly still has several years of great football left, and we’ve seen enough over Rodgers’ career to know that he can sustain multiple elite WRs at a time. That would almost certainly be the case with a Davante Adams/Robinson duo.

Indianapolis Colts: Yeah, we know, Carson Wentz. Is he actually bad? Like, bad bad? Maybe. But also, maybe not. His dominant 2017 season wasn’t that long ago, he’s still young, and he’s back with Frank Reich. The Colts also have good other weapons (Jonathan Taylor, Nyheim Hines, Michael Pittman, among others), so it wouldn’t fall entirely on Robinson to save the day every week.

Cincinnati Bengals: Out with A.J. Green, in with Robinson? The Bengals have a skillful, young offense helmed by second-year and former first overall pick Joe Burrow. Robinson would step in as the No. 1 WR with Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd working behind him as a formidable trio.

Worst landing spots for Allen Robinson for fantasy football

New England Patriots: Not only do the Patriots have an unknown QB situation for 2021 and beyond, but their offense is truly terrible. They could use a player like Robinson, and he would undoubtedly see fantastic volume, but nobody wants to see Robinson continue to suffer through mediocre QB play while being the only legitimate weapon on the team.

New York Jets: Robinson would fill a need for the Jets, but Sam Darnold has hardly done enough to indicate that he’d break the QB curse Robinson has had to deal with throughout his career. Has he even done enough to be the Jets QB in 2021? The Jets are doing a complete refresh, and it’s not a scenario we want to see Robinson find himself in.

Washington Football Team: Generally speaking, the WFT appears to be going in the right direction. They made the playoffs and looked legit against the eventual Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers. But their QB situation for both the near- and long-term remains a significant question mark, which is the last thing Robinson deserves at this time. And Washington already has a top WR in Terry McLaurin.
