We are two DFS slates into the NFL preseason and have already experienced the true roller coaster nature of it all. The key to success in these games is to stay on top of the news which is what we do best in the FTN NFL DFS Discord. Make sure you’re checking in throughout the day as things will obviously change as we approach lock and reports drop. Let’s get into our preferred options at each position for Friday’s three-game slate.
Quarterback
Michael Penix Jr., Atlanta Falcons
Head coach Raheem Morris stated that fans would get a “good look” at rookie gunslinger Michael Penix Jr. but didn’t go into specifics on how many quarters that would actually be. I suspect he will get the majority of the first half which is enough to place him into main team consideration. Penix was fantastic during his last two collegiate seasons and threw for nearly 5,000 yards last year. Taylor Heinicke and Nathan Rourke will play after Penix but they’re secondary options at best. Rourke was a stud in college and the CFL but hasn’t caught on at the NFL level yet.
