For having a massive 13-game MLB DFS slate in front of us Friday, I’m not sure that the pitching options are all that great. There is at least one pitcher I’m going to take a long look at if we’re talking about the most expensive options, but it feels pretty dicey as we go down the salary grid.

If you do want to spend top dollar for pitching Friday, I think Jack Flaherty is going to be the way to go. He continued his fantastic season in his debut for the Dodgers against the A’s, striking out seven across six scoreless innings. He has dealt with a back issue, so that’s always in the back of your mind but he’s thrown at least 96 pitches in each of his three starts since the All-Star break. The Buccos are in a tailspin right now and even though they’ve actually been hitting a little bit, Flaherty has a 31.8% K rate, a 42.5% ground ball rate, a 14.1% swinging strike rate and a 32.3% CSW. Even at his cost, that is going to be appealing.
