Well, we’ve made it to another Grand Slam. Clay court season has gone ever so quickly, and this edition of Roland Garros should be a historical one. As we know by now, the King of Clay and 14-time Roland Garros Champion Rafael Nadal is likely going to be playing his final Roland Garros event this season, and he will do so by playing Alexander Zverev in the opening round. In addition to Nadal, Andy Murray is expected to retire this summer, so two of the all-time greats will be lacing it up for the final time at Roland Garros this week.
Iga Swiatek and Novak Djokovic will be the defending champions, though only Iga will go into this tournament as the favorite. On the ATP side, injuries to both Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz, as well as strange health issues with Novak Djokovic, makes this edition of the French Open a wide open one for the men.
