There are nine games on the NHL slate for Tuesday, Oct. 15, so there’s plenty of action on the ice. Below, you’ll see a list of my favorite NHL props, with a couple of bonus NHL prop bets as well.

The odds change quickly in the NHL, so take advantage of our Prop Shop for the best possible odds, and check out our Pick Tracker for all of my picks.

The Best NHL Prop Bets

Yegor Chinakhov Over 2.5 SOG

(+120, BetRivers)

Books haven’t adjusted their odds yet for Yegor Chinakhov, who should be in for a career season with the Columbus Blue Jackets. The winger scored 16 goals and 29 points in 53 games last season, averaging 15:10 per game. Through two games this season, he’s averaging 19:23 per game, and he has four points (two power play points). Chinakhov has seven shots on goal over that span. The Blue Jackets are extremely thin up front so the usage rate should remain high as long as he stays healthy. Florida is on the second half of a back-to-back and they are down their best defensive forward Aleksander Barkov, and Matthew Tkachuk is also sidelined.

Bonus

Zach Werenski O 2.5 SOG (-155, DraftKings)
Chinakhov Point (+105, BetMGM)
Sean Monahan Point (-110, BetMGM)

Logan Stankoven Point

(+105, BetMGM)

The Stars are a perfect 3-0 to start the season, and they’ve only allowed three goals. They get one of the worst teams in the league Tuesday in the San Jose Sharks. Weird things happen in the NHL, but Dallas should be able to take it to San Jose this evening. There’s terrific value on several players to pick up a point including Stankoven, Jamie Benn, Tyler Seguin, Matt Duchene and Mason Marchment. I’ll lean with Stankoven here as he’s picked up four points in his first three games. He’s on a line with Wyatt Johnston and Jamie Benn, who have combined for five points in three games. As I discussed on Dangle Bet Celly, this may be an opportunity to bet some first goal scorers on the Dallas side. Check out our NHL Bets Discord or the show for those plays.

Bonus

Jamie Benn Point (-120, DraftKings)
Tyler Seguin Point (-125, DraftKings)
Wyatt Johnston O 2.5 SOG (-136, BetRivers)
Mikael Granlund O 2.5 SOG (+170, DraftKings)
DAL -1.5 (-125, BetMGM)

Connor McDavid Over 1.5 Points

(-110, BetMGM)

The Oilers have been awful so far this season, as they enter Tuesday with an 0-3 record and have been outscored 15-3. McDavid only has two assists, so it’s only a matter of time before he breaks out. You could kind of see it in his last game as he was more aggressive and finished with five shots after only having three in his first two games. The Flyers are very interesting at +205, but we don’t get -110 for McDavid to have two points very often. This is a player who is usually at -175 for two points.

Bonus

Jeff Skinner O 2.5 SOG (-105, DraftKings)

Pierre-Luc Dubois Over 1.5 SOG

(-135, DraftKings Sportsbook)

As I mentioned in my undervalued fantasy hockey targets video, PLD is in for a bounceback season. Yes, he’s overrated, but his usage rate was very low in Los Angeles and that won’t be the case in Washington. He only averaged 15:42 with the Kings and he was playing on the third, something fourth line, and the second power play. He’s on the second line and first power play in Washington. He picked up a point and two shots in his debut and he played 17:29. That’s more on par with his two seasons in Winnipeg where he scored 55 goals (26 power play goals) in just over 18 minutes per game.

Bonus

John Carlson O 2.5 SOG (-105, DraftKings)
