There are plenty of different props to choose from on PrizePicks and there’s a lot of money to be made. You can pick your choice of NBA, PGA, MMA, soccer and more. Today I will be focusing on the NHL.
“PrizePicks,” is a creative new way to parlay picks based on expected fantasy point production. The format is simple. You pick two, three or four players and predict whether they will go over or under their projected fantasy point total.
When parlaying the players, the larger your parlay the better the payout:
- Two-pick entry pays 2.5x (max entry: $400)
- Three-pick entry pays 5x (max entry: $200)
- Four-pick entry pays 10x (max entry: $100)
As a bonus offer, there is a “flex play” option if you choose to run a four-man parlay. This will provide some security, as you can earn 1.5x your buy-in if three of your four picks hit.
I have listed my top PrizePicks for Friday’s slate in the NHL below. I will be mixing and matching my pick combinations from this pool and including my favorite combination(s).
Scoring breakdown for PrizePicks contests can be found here.
Rickard Rakell, W, Anaheim Ducks
Rakell’s six-game point streak was ended in his most recent contest but he’s still on quite the run as he enters with five goals and 12 points over his past seven games. He has 24 shots over that span and he’s in a good spot to add to those totals. The Sharks have coughed up the second-most shots, fourth-most scoring chances, and the fourth-most high-danger chances at 5v5 per 60 minutes, according to Natural Stat Trick. On top of that, San Jose ranks third in times shorthanded per game (3.61) and sixth in shorthanded time on ice per game (5:52).
