We are looking to close out the week strong with Thursday’s big 10-game NHL slate. The first puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.  I’ve analyzed the entire slate, and this article will go through my favorite NHL bets for the entire slate.

But remember, with our FTN betting package, you’ll get picks from everyone at FTN, plus tools, projections and access to Discord, where I’ll discuss every slate.

Today’s Best NHL Bets

Los Angeles Kings ML

(+126, FanDuel Sportsbook)

With their win over the Islanders Tuesday, the Kings’ winning streak has reached six. They were also able to extend a streak of allowing two goals or less to six straight games. The Devils are going to be a tough matchup, but the edge that the Kings are bringing right now is definitely centered on their team defense. They’re getting great goaltending from both Darcy Kuemper and David Rittich, and they’re figuring out their defensive identity with Joel Edmundson providing a noticeable spark in the top four of their defense. I actually have the Kings with a considerable edge tonight, so to get +126 for them to win straight up is a great deal.

Florida Panthers -1.5

(+175, Bet365/Caesars)

On paper, the Panthers have a considerable edge over the Canucks at every position. With Vancouver’s lack of depth at the blue line, I can see many possibilities where the Panthers take this one and blow them out. I even think it’s more likely to happen in Vancouver than it is in Florida due to how poorly Vancouver has played at home this season. So yes, I think there’s major value tonight in taking the Panthers -1.5 goals. You can certainly take the ML as well if you’re more comfortable with it.

San Jose/St. Louis Over 6

(-108, DraftKings Sportsbook)

I must reiterate how different a team the Blues are now with Jim Montgomery behind the bench.  They’ve won five of seven games under Montgomery and have finally figured some things out defensively. This certainly also includes the emergence of Dylan Holloway, who has points in every game with Montgomery as his coach. As for the Sharks, I definitely think they are a better team than their record might suggest. I do think they are in a tough spot with their goaltending situation where the goaltending duties belong to two of the statistically worst goalies in the NHL (Georgiev and Vanecek). I firmly believe that if have any chance in winning with the “bad and worse” duo in net, that they’re going to have to push their offense more. I’d be very surprised if this game total doesn’t go over 6.
