The NFL season is finally here, and I will be helping each week in identifying the three best bets on BetMGM. We have a long 18-week NFL season ahead of us. As a friendly reminder, always be sure to shop around for the best possible prices.
The easiest way to do so is by using our free FTN Bets Prop Shop. Plug in the name of the player you are searching, and all their prop markets will come up. This article will not only identify three of the best bets each week but offer the best possible price on the market. So, let’s dive into this week’s selections.
Corey Davis should have a big New York debut
Over 4.5 Receptions (+110)
With Jamison Crowder out, Corey Davis is sure to see the most targets in this Jets offense, with Elijah Moore coming in behind Davis. Per our WR/CB Matchups Tool, Davis has the seventh-best matchup this week opposite Donte Jackson. With the Jets coming in as road underdogs, we should maintain an expectation of them playing from behind in the second half and throwing the football, adding some additional potential volume.
Brandin Cooks is now the guy in Houston
Over 58.5 Receiving Yards (-110)
While Deshaun Watson may not be under center for the Texans, it really doesn’t matter who is throwing the football Brandin Cooks’ way, and we shouldn’t discredit Tyrod Taylor either. In Cooks’ career playing indoors with his team as the underdog, he has averaged just under 8 targets per game and 76.13 receiving yards per game, both of which are well ahead of his out-of-split numbers.
Tyrod Taylor isn’t afraid to run the ball
Over 16.5 Rushing Yards (-115)
Sticking with the worst team in football! Regardless of his injury history, Tyrod Taylor is a mobile quarterback, and he will use his legs if necessary. In 24 career games in which Taylor’s team is an underdog by less than a touchdown, Taylor has averaged 33.08 rushing yards per game. We are getting half that number on BetMGM. Additionally, the Jaguars defense surrendered the seventh-most scramble yards last season.
