Kenneth Walker III Considered Day-To-Day

Seattle Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III (abdomen) looked good on the field during the season opener against the Denver Broncos on Sunday. Walker rushed for over 100 yards, but also picked up an injury in the fourth quarter. This doesn't sound like an injury that is going to sideline Walker for a lengthy amount of time. Head coach Mike Macdonald said on Monday that the team doesn't have much of an update on his status, but they're taking it day-by-day. Walker said he was fine after Sunday's game, but we'll see if the Seahawks limit him at all during practice this week. For now, fantasy managers should expect Walker to be fine in time for the Week 2 matchup against the New England Patriots.

Cooper Kupp Turns In Vintage Performance Against Lions

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp turned back the clock a bit with a dominant game in the team's overtime loss at the Lions on Sunday night. With Puka Nacua (knee) forced to exit the game, Kupp was targeted early and often by Matthew Stafford. He saw a ridiculous 21 targets and caught 14 passes for 110 yards and a touchdown. Kupp worked the short field relentlessly using pre-snap motion to perfection on a nine-yard touchdown catch. A healthy Kupp is still one of the most dangerous receivers in the NFL and his connection with Stafford along with the way Sean McVay and the Rams' coaching staff schemes him up, is a thing of beauty at times. Nacua came back for one play after being injured but was forced to leave the game and will undergo testing on his right knee on Monday. With his health in question, Kupp's status elevates even more. Kupp is a no-doubt WR1 while healthy and could be one of the best values of this year's fantasy drafts if his target share keeps up at this pace.

Jason Myers Scores In The Double Digits On Sunday

Seattle Seahawks kicker Jason Myers had a nice outing on Sunday against the Denver Broncos. Myers connected on both of his field goals and both of his extra points on Sunday en route to 10 fantasy points. The Seahawks offense started off slow and was forced into two early field goals which was beneficial for Myers. As the season wears on, the offense should continue to improve and put Myers in more positions to secure points in fantasy.

Zach Charbonnet With Highlight Touchdown In Week 1

Seattle Seahawks running back Zach Charbonnet had a solid outing in Week 1 against the Denver Broncos. He finished the game with eight carries for 12 yards and two receptions for 29 yards and a touchdown. Charbonnet squarely played second fiddle to starting running back Kenneth Walker III (abdominal) until Walker went down with an injury. The Seahawks did not get going on offense until the second half. Charbonnet contributed to the Seahawks' barrage of scoring in the fourth quarter on a 30-yard reception where he was left wide open. Charbonnet's lack of contribution prior to Walker's injury demonstrates his entrenchment as the backup. However, if Walker were to miss any time, then Charbonnet would be a must-start.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba Disappointing In Season Debut

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba had a disappointing outing in Week 1 against the Denver Broncos. Smith-Njigba started hot with two receptions for 19 yards in the first quarter. However, Smith-Njigba only earned one more target for the rest of the game. The Seahawks offense as a whole was quiet for the first two quarters and a half. Once the offense got going, it was the Tyler Lockett show in the passing game. Smith-Njigba has a lot of promise in 2024. If the Seahawks offense can play like it did in the second half of Sunday's game, then Smith-Njigba should begin to display solid flex value.
