Minnesota Vikings quarterback Sam Darnold started out hot, but he cooled off after the first few drives. Darnold threw touchdowns on back-to-back drives to open the game, but didn't have a ton of success after that. He completed 18-of-25 passing attempts for 240 yards and two scores in the loss to the Los Angeles Rams. Darnold now has thrown for 1,610 yards with 14 touchdowns and five interceptions through seven games. He hasn't been lighting up the box score lately, but he doesn't make silly mistakes with the football. Fantasy managers should be able to keep riding him as a QB1 for next week's matchup against the Indianapolis Colts.

Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant (knee) stayed limited in practice on Thursday for the second straight day this week. Fant should be fine to play this Sunday against the visiting Buffalo Bills and could once again see increased targets if top wideout DK Metcalf (knee) is unable to suit up. The 26-year-old tight end caught all four of his targets for a season-high 65 yards in the team's Week 7 victory over the Atlanta Falcons in a game in which Metcalf was injured and did not return. The Bills have been a middle-of-the-pack matchup for opposing tight ends in 2024, allowing 40 catches, 316 yards and one touchdown to the position in seven games. Fant now has three games with 60-plus receiving yards in 2024 and should be treated as a TE2 with upside in fantasy if Metcalf is inactive on Sunday.

Seattle Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III (illness) returned to practice on Thursday in a limited showing after being listed as a DNP on Wednesday with an illness that cropped up last weekend. Walker was listed as questionable in Week 7 against the Atlanta Falcons but played and saw 14 carries for 69 yards and a touchdown while adding two catches for 24 yards and another score. The 24-year-old is the RB8 in half-PPR fantasy scoring through five games played and has had a nose for the end zone in 2024, scoring seven times in his five contests. He should be fine to play in Week 8 against the Buffalo Bills and should be considered a must-start RB1. Buffalo has been a friendly matchup to opposing RBs in 2024, allowing the sixth-most half-PPR points per game to the position.

Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant (knee) was listed as a limited practice participant in the first practice of the week on Wednesday due to a knee injury. It's something to monitor, but as long as Fant doesn't suffer a setback later this week, we feel good about his chances of being active this Sunday versus the Buffalo Bills. The 26-year-old had a team-high four catches for 65 yards in the Week 7 win over the Atlanta Falcons. Fant still has yet to find the end zone this year, but he has a total of 10 catches on 10 targets for 128 yards over the last two weeks. He could be another good bet for sneaky production this weekend against the Bills if receiver DK Metcalf (knee) is unable to play. Even if Metcalf is active on Sunday, Fant should be viewed as a worthwhile TE2 streaming target for fantasy managers.

Seattle Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III (illness) remains on the injury report for Week 8 and was listed as a non-participant in Wednesday's practice. Walker was questionable with an illness he picked up last weekend but ended up playing in the Week 7 win over the Atlanta Falcons and didn't seem very sick despite playing only 47% of the offensive snaps. The 24-year-old had 14 carries for 69 yards and a touchdown and added two catches for 24 yards and another score. It would be a surprise if Walker isn't able to play in Week 8 against the visiting Buffalo Bills, where he'll be a must-start, high-end RB1 for fantasy managers. Through only five games played in 2024, Walker checks in as the RB8 in half-PPR scoring with 303 rushing yards and six touchdowns and 23 catches for 160 yards and another score. Given his injury-prone ways, though, backup Zach Charbonnet is an excellent handcuff.
