Ricky Pearsall To Battle For Targets In Week 11

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Ricky Pearsall will line up against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 11 at home. The rookie out of Florida scored his first NFL touchdown last week in Tampa on a 46-yard catch-and-run to the pylon, part of a six-target, four-reception, 73-yard performance. The matchup for Pearsall is enticing, with Seattle allowing the 11th-most WR half-PPR points per game. The problem with Pearsall as a starting option, however, is that he's stuck in the 49ers' third-receiver role for now, which has been mostly fantasy-irrelevant in recent years. Teammate Jauan Jennings has grabbed hold of Brandon Aiyuk's outside receiver role, as evidenced by Jennings' 11 targets in Week 10. With Christian McCaffrey (Achilles) back in action, Pearsall is just the latest example of the too-many-mouths-to-feed problem in San Francisco during the Brock Purdy era. Pearsall looks like a quality NFL receiver with big-play potential, but target insecurity makes him a very risky WR4/FLEX play for now.

Demarcus Robinson Returns To Boom-Or-Bust Range

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Demarcus Robinson should be viewed as a low-floor, high-ceiling option heading into Week 11 against the New England Patriots. Robinson had strung together an impressive two-game stretch with eight catches, 129 yards, and four touchdowns, but he came crashing back down to earth with just one reception for 23 yards last week. Still, he was targeted by Matthew Stafford five times, reaffirming the veteran's interest in getting the ball into Robinson's hands. Given that Robinson is a big-play deep threat, there are going to be some times when he just can't seem to get a spark offensively. Other times, he'll repeatedly catch deep passes and add a score or two. The Patriots aren't dominant against receivers, so Robinson could certainly be capable of breaking off a huge play (or even a touchdown) this week. The alternative, though, is a one-catch game with just a couple fantasy points. Managers should evaluate Robinson against other bench players on their roster, keeping in mind that Robinson ranks as a fantasy WR4.

Mac Jones Not Worth Consideration In Week 11 Against Lions

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Mac Jones is difficult to trust as a fantasy option in Week 11 against the Detroit Lions. After a tough performance last week against the Minnesota Vikings, Jones shouldn't be on the fantasy radar. The Lions are a plus matchup, but after putting up just seven points last week, it's hard to fathom Jones as a good fantasy option in his second start of the season. The good news is that Brian Thomas Jr. and Evan Engram are good to go, while Travis Etienne Jr. should be the primary back with Tank Bigsby out. Jones has decent weapons at his disposal, but until he shows he can lead a competent offense, he shouldn't be considered in fantasy lineups. Leave Jones on the bench in Week 11 against the Lions.

Christian McCaffrey Represents Week 11's Overall Top RB Play

San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey will look to get into a better rhythm when the team hosts the Seattle Seahawks in Week 11. McCaffrey's season debut last week against the Bucs was disappointing, ending with 39 yards on 13 carries but adding six receptions on seven targets for 68 yards to save his day in PPR formats. On the bright side, McCaffrey emerged healthy from his first game back since Super Bowl LVIII. The two limited practices he logged on Wednesday and Thursday before practicing in full on Friday can likely be chalked up to load management. It was also positive that McCaffrey only ceded two touches to his backups versus Tampa Bay. CMC is likely to increase his efficiency on the ground while maintaining his involvement in the passing game on Sunday. He's also more likely than not to break the seal on this year's touchdown total. Seattle is allowing the 10th-most fantasy points per game to running backs. Sounds like enough good reasons to put McCaffrey into the overall RB1 spot in Week 11.

Brock Purdy Has Promise Versus Seattle

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy will square off with the Seattle Seahawks in an important Week 11 divisional matchup on Sunday. In Week 10, Purdy was quite good, hanging 353 passing yards and two touchdowns on the Buccaneers in Tampa while leaving a zero in the turnovers column. The matchup against the Seahawks is neutral, as Seattle's defense checks in at the exact median in fantasy points allowed to opposing QBs. But in a Week 6 matchup in Seattle, Purdy threw three touchdowns -- two to George Kittle and one to Deebo Samuel Sr. -- with no interceptions. Purdy should have his full complement of weapons, with running back Christian McCaffrey (Achilles), wideout Jauan Jennings (ankle), and Kittle (hamstring) expected to play after spending some time limited in practice this week. The former "Mr. Irrelevant" is being ranked as a top-5 option in Week 11.
