Despite being rumored to be a somewhat hot commodity on the trade market this offseason, it appears QB Marcus Mariota will remain with the Las Vegas Raiders on a reworked contract for 2021, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
#Raiders QB Marcus Mariota is expected to sign a reworked contract with Las Vegas, sources say, as he’ll get a 1-year deal worth $3.5M with a chance to make up to $8M including incentives. It was up and down the last few weeks, but he recently made the call to stick around.

Mariota appeared in one game in 2020, replacing Derek Carr in the first quarter of the team’s Week 15 game against the Chargers after the starter suffered a groin injury. Mariota put up 226 passing yards and a touchdown and added 88 rushing yards and a score on the ground to finish the week as the QB8. He’ll likely operate as Carr’s backup again in 2021.
