New York Giants rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers was a bright spot in Sunday's 35-14 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, showcasing his talent despite the team's struggles. Nabers hauled in 10 of 14 targets for 82 yards and a touchdown, including a 23-yard reception, averaging 8.2 yards per catch. Even with Tim Boyle, the fourth quarterback to play for the Giants this season, taking over in the second half, Nabers maintained his outstanding form and was a reliable target throughout the game. His ability to produce in a challenging offensive environment underlined his growing importance to the Giants' passing attack, and he finished the day with an impressive 19.2 fantasy points.
New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers (hip) has been cleared to play ahead of the Week 15 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens. Nabers has been dealing with a hip issue since last week, but still ended up suiting up last weekend. He hauled in five of his 10 targets for 79 yards in the loss to the New Orleans Saints. Nabers appeared to be fine during that game but was limited in practice to start this week. Quarterback Drew Lock (elbow) is doubtful to play, so Tommy DeVito is likely to be under center. Regardless, Nabers should still be a reliable fantasy option for this weekend.
For the second straight day this week, New York Giants rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers (hip) was a limited participant in practice on Thursday. Nabers was limited in two practices last week before missing practice last Friday, but the 21-year-old first-rounder out of LSU still played in the Week 14 loss to the New Orleans Saints and played 93 percent of the offensive snaps while catching five of his 10 targets for 79 yards. Barring a setback the next few days, we're pretty confident the rookie pass-catcher will be active to take on the Baltimore Ravens this weekend in a plus matchup. Fantasy managers aren't thrilled with New York's QB situation -- Tommy DeVito is expected to make his second start on Sunday -- but Nabers still has WR2 upside. Despite New York's putrid offense, Nabers enters Week 15 as the WR18 in PPR scoring, and his 126 targets on the year rank fourth among all receivers.
New York Giants rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers (hip) practiced on the side on Wednesday. At the very least, Nabers will be listed as limited on the first practice report of Week 15. The first-round pass-catcher missed practice last Friday with a hip-flexor injury and was questionable to play in Week 14 against the New Orleans Saints, but he ended up suiting up and caught five of his 10 targets for a healthy 79 yards while playing all but three offensive snaps. As long as the 21-year-old wideout doesn't suffer a setback with his hip in practice this week, he should be a good bet to play this Sunday versus the Baltimore Ravens. Nabers is expected to be taking passes from quarterback Tommy DeVito this weekend. In the loss to the Buccaneers on Nov. 24 with DeVito at the helm, Nabers caught six passes for 64 yards. Fantasy managers should keep Nabers in their lineups as long as he's active.UPDATE: Nabers was limited on Wednesday.
New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers delivered a solid performance in Sunday's 14-11 loss to the New Orleans Saints, recording five receptions for 79 yards on 10 targets. Nabers tied for the team lead in receptions and averaged an impressive 15.8 yards per catch, including a critical 23-yard grab on the final drive to set up a potential game-tying field goal that was unfortunately blocked. Earlier in the fourth quarter, he added a crucial two-point conversion reception to bring the Giants within three points with 4:11 left. While he didn't find the end zone, Nabers' 12.4 fantasy points highlighted his role as a reliable and dynamic option in an offense that struggled to capitalize on scoring opportunities.
