Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Jordan Whittington showcased some big-play potential last week in the regular season finale, and the Rams may need to be more aggressive in this week's matchup against the Vikings on Monday Night Football of the Wild Card Round. The sixth-round pick from Texas was involved early in the season when Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp were injured. He had a combined 13 catches for 151 receiving yards in Week 4 and Week 5 but then sustained a shoulder injury that kept him limited for several weeks. Whittington stepped back in last week while the starters rested and caught three of his four targets for a team-high 86 receiving yards while also adding 12 rushing yards on two carries. Whittington does bring some sizzle and upside to the Rams' passing game, but his role is uncertain since the Rams rotate receivers behind the tandem of Nacua and Kupp. He's a dart throw play with upside for DFS contests on Monday.

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Jordan Whittington fell just short of 100 yards rushing plus receiving in the regular season finale of his rookie season. While Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp rested for the playoffs, he posted a team-high 86 yards by catching three of four targets from backup QB Jimmy Garoppolo. The former Longhorn also added 12 rushing yards on two carries. Whittington wasn't heavily targeted but made the most of his chances, highlighted by hauling in a 50-yard reception that helped give the Rams a late lead. While the team came up just short in the end against the Seahawks, Whittington continued to show the potential to contribute as a depth option and possibly figure into the Rams' future plans at the position.

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Jordan Whittington (ankle) could be the team's top option at the position in Week 18 against the Seahawks since both Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp will rest for the playoffs. The sixth-round pick from Texas made a splash early in the season with 13 catches in a two-week span against the Bears and Packers. However, he battled injury and fell into a very limited role after Nacua and Kupp returned from their early-season injuries. He caught his one target for six yards in Week 17 against the Cardinals, but that was Whittington's first target in his last nine games. This week in practice, he was limited with an ankle injury but got back to a full workload and has no injury designation for Sunday's game. With a bigger workload expected, he will be a boom-or-bust DFS punt option, depending on how he clicks with quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, who will start in place of Matthew Stafford.

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Jordan Whittington (shoulder) is listed as questionable for the team's Thursday night matchup against the San Francisco 49ers. The rookie wideout sustained a shoulder injury in Sunday's 44-42 win over the Buffalo Bills, causing him to "miss" LA's first two days of estimated practice this week. Fortunately, Whittington was able to log a limited session on Wednesday before getting a questionable tag for their Week 15 matchup. The 24-year-old has taken a backseat in the offense since teammates Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua's return -- failing to log a reception since the Rams' Week 6 bye. However, he's been a solid kick returner for the team and still records snaps for the offense. If he can't suit up on Thursday, wide receiver Tyler Johnson projects to pick up a few extra snaps while running back Blake Corum and wideout Xavier Smith will handle return duties.

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Jordan Whittington (shoulder) wasn't available for Monday's practice estimate. Whittington has been dealing with a shoulder injury for weeks, but continues to suit up. However, the 24-year-old has taken a backseat in the offense since Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua returned to the field. In fact, Whittington doesn't have a reception since Week 5. He has been limited to special teams duties, which isn't going to offer much to fantasy managers. That being said, Whittington is worth holding in some dynasty formats, but isn't likely to have much of a role on the offense right now.
