Thompson-Robinson replaced starter Jameis Winston after the latter's third interception of the contest but the second-year signal-caller wound up throwing an interception of his own with 1:26 left in the game. Head coach Kevin Stefanski was non-committal about who would be his starting quarterback for Week 16 against the Cincinnati Bengals, but it would be worth a waiver claim on DTR in deeper, superflex leagues in case the Browns opt to go with the youngster.

He did demonstrate a little more mobility than Winston, adding 18 rushing yards on three attempts. Fantasy managers should stay tuned for updates on the Browns' quarterback position, as it appears the competition for the starting role has been re-opened.

It appears to be a minor issue, so Thompson-Robinson will serve as the No.2 option behind Jameis Winston on Sunday. Head coach Kevin Stefanski said that Winston starting was from a gameplan standpoint, which means Thompson-Robinson could see time as the starter at some point. The 24-year-old is worth stashing for QB needy fantasy managers in dynasty leagues, but isn't likely to see much action or any at all as the backup.

The 24-year-old injured a tendon in his right middle finger in relief of Deshaun Watson (Achilles) in the Week 7 loss to the division-rival Cincinnati Bengals, but the fact that he was a full-go in Wednesday's practice is a good sign for his availability this weekend. Cleveland added Bailey Zappe as insurance at QB in case DTR isn't active. If Winston struggles this weekend, it's possible that the Browns go back to Thompson-Robinson for Week 9 versus the Los Angeles Chargers.
