San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy (shoulder) was limited during Wednesday's practice, according to Matt Barrows of The Athletic. The 24-year-old quarterback suffered an injury in his throwing shoulder during last Sunday's loss to the Seattle Seahawks. Fantasy managers should continue monitoring his progress throughout the week, but seeing him participate in practice early in the week is a promising sign of his availability this coming weekend. Even though Purdy threw for a season-low 159 yards last weekend, fantasy managers should still view him as a solid low-end QB1 heading into Week 12 facing the Green Bay Packers as he has averaged a strong 27.0 PPR points per game during Weeks 6 through 10.
San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy (shoulder) is dealing with some right-shoulder soreness on Monday and is considered day-to-day, according to head coach Kyle Shanahan. Purdy might be included on the team's Week 12 injury report but he should ultimately be fine to play this upcoming Sunday on the road at Lambeau Field against the Green Bay Packers. The 24-year-old was without tight end George Kittle (hamstring) in the Week 11 loss to the division-rival Seattle Seahawks and went 21-for-28 for a season-low 159 yards, one touchdown and his eighth interception of the year. His shoulder injury is something to watch throughout the week, but ultimately it shouldn't affect his Week 12 status. Purdy could certainly bounce back as more of a QB1 in fantasy against Green Bay, especially if Kittle is back in action.
San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy had a better day in fantasy than in real life during a home 20-17 loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday. Purdy hit pregame projections by completing 21 of 28 attempts for 159 yards and a touchdown passing while adding five scrambles for 40 yards and a touchdown on the ground. He was intercepted once. The three-yard scoring pass to wideout Jauan Jennings came in the middle of the fourth quarter to give San Francisco the lead, which was relinquished two drives later with twelve seconds left in regulation. Seattle's reeling defense put up more of a fight than expected and the Niners' offense stalled multiple times by committing their fair share of the team's nine accepted penalties. Purdy's rushing game has been a pleasant surprise, though. His touchdown scramble was his fourth in as many games. He is now in a four-way tie for the fourth-most rushing touchdowns by a quarterback and is ranked 12th in QB rushing yards per game, sandwiched between Denver's Bo Nix and the Giants' Daniel Jones. Purdy will look to get his team back above .500 in Week 12 against the Packers in Green Bay.
San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy will square off with the Seattle Seahawks in an important Week 11 divisional matchup on Sunday. In Week 10, Purdy was quite good, hanging 353 passing yards and two touchdowns on the Buccaneers in Tampa while leaving a zero in the turnovers column. The matchup against the Seahawks is neutral, as Seattle's defense checks in at the exact median in fantasy points allowed to opposing QBs. But in a Week 6 matchup in Seattle, Purdy threw three touchdowns -- two to George Kittle and one to Deebo Samuel Sr. -- with no interceptions. Purdy should have his full complement of weapons, with running back Christian McCaffrey (Achilles), wideout Jauan Jennings (ankle), and Kittle (hamstring) expected to play after spending some time limited in practice this week. The former "Mr. Irrelevant" is being ranked as a top-5 option in Week 11.
San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy aired it out in a 23-20 victory over the Buccaneers in Tampa on Sunday. He finished with 25 completions of 36 attempts for 353 yards and two touchdowns passing to go with four scrambles for 17 yards on the ground. The yardage total was the third-highest of his career. Purdy looked poised, ceding zero turnovers, though he did have a fourth-quarter punchout recovered by teammate Jauan Jennings. The former Cyclone's first touchdown pass was a 46-yard catch-and-run on a crossing route to rookie Ricky Pearsall and his second came on a fourth-quarter 11-yard corner toe-tapper to tight end George Kittle. The return of Christian McCaffrey appeared to boost the 49ers' offense as predicted, and Purdy took advantage, targeting CMC seven times. Purdy and the 49ers will host the Seattle Seahawks at home in Week 11.
