New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers (ankle, hamstring) will be limited in the first practice of the week on Thursday, according to interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich. He said that Rodgers will be ready to go for the Monday night contest in Week 6 against the visiting division-rival Buffalo Bills. The 40-year-old veteran picked up a low-ankle sprain and a hamstring injury in the Week 5 loss in London to the Minnesota Vikings. Despite Rodgers looking to be in significant pain when he injured his ankle, he didn't miss any snaps in the 23-17 loss. The future Hall of Famer should have an easier go of it against a banged-up Bills secondary this week after two rough performances the last two weeks in losses to the Broncos and Vikings. However, Rodgers is still nothing more than a low-end QB2 option in fantasy, at least until/if the Jets pull off a trade to reunite him with receiver Davante Adams.
New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers (ankle) had a brief moment on the field on Sunday where he was unable to get up after a hit, causing the entire crowd to go quiet. Luckily, the veteran QB could get up and stay on the field to finish the game against the Minnesota Vikings. While speaking to the media, head coach Robert Saleh confirmed that Rodgers suffered a low-ankle sprain and "All the preliminary stuff says he'll be fine." Despite throwing three interceptions in this contest, Rodgers and the offense had brief moments where they flashed their potential. The good news is that he should be able to get on the field in Week 6 with an added day of rest before taking on the Buffalo Bills next Monday night.
New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers (ankle) completed 29 of his 54 passes for 244 yards, two touchdowns, and three interceptions in a 23-17 loss to the Minnesota Vikings in London in Week 5. Rodgers threw a season-high 54 times as the Jets tried to take advantage of a leaky Minnesota pass defense but he also wound up throwing a season-high in interceptions along the way, including one that was returned 63 yards for a touchdown. The veteran quarterback did suffer a scare in the third quarter as he came up holding his left leg after taking a big hit but he ultimately didn't miss any snaps. He later told reporters that he suffered a sprained lower ankle. Now sitting on seven touchdowns and four interceptions through five games, Rodgers will begin preparing to take on the Buffalo Bills at home in Week 6's Monday night game.
New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers will travel to London to take on the Minnesota Vikings in Week 5. Rodgers has been steady, yet unspectacular, from a fantasy perspective this season, throwing for 849 yards, five touchdowns, and one interception over four games. The Vikings have been solid against quarterbacks this season despite allowing Jordan Love to rack up big stats in comeback mode last week. Overall, Minnesota is allowing the 13th-most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks this season, although that number is skewed by the four-touchdown game by Love last week. Rodgers sets up as a mid-range QB2 in fantasy heading into Week 5's matchup against Minnesota. Fantasy managers relying on Jets and Vikings players will want to set their lineups early as the London game kicks off at 9:30 AM EST.
New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers (knee) has been removed from the injury report ahead of the Week 5 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings. The veteran signal-caller sat out of Wednesday's practice, but returned to the field on Thursday and Friday. That being said, Rodgers will be fine heading into their matchup in London. This isn't an ideal matchup for the Jets against a tough Vikings defense that is allowing less than 15 points per game. Rodgers will be on the lower end of the QB2 radar for this weekend.
