Braelon Allen A Low-End Flex Option In Week 15 If Breece Hall Plays

New York Jets running back Braelon Allen failed to capitalize on his increased role with Breece Hall (knee) out of action in Week 14, rushing for only 43 scoreless yards. His time as the team's lead back may be short-lived as Hall is looking likely to return to action in Week 15 against the Jacksonville Jaguars after he logged a full practice on Friday. The Jaguars have struggled against running backs this season, allowing the second-most fantasy points per game to the position. If Hall ultimately ends up being inactive, Allen can be treated as an RB2 in Week 15 but if Hall plays, downgrade Allen to a desperation flex.

Stone Smartt Set To Take Over At Tight End In Week 15

Los Angeles Chargers tight end Stone Smartt is set to take over the starting role in a Week 15 game against the Tampa Bay Bucs. Smartt took over in the second half last week after starter Will Dissly (shoulder) was forced to leave the game. With Dissly still recovering, Smartt will be the starter in at least Week 15 from the first snap of the game. Last week, in the second half, Smartt saw a 25% target share and put up three catches for 54 yards. More importantly, it was clear that the Chargers had faith in him as a pass catcher on critical plays. This week, he gets a nice soft landing against a Bucs defense that has allowed the second-most receiving yards to opposing tight ends. Smartt was one of the more popular waiver wire grabs this week, and he finds himself near the top of TE2 rankings with some nice touchdown upside.

Breece Hall Now Expected To Play In Week 15

New York Jets running back Breece Hall (knee) appears to be heading in the right direction ahead of the Week 15 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Hall sat out of last week's game, but is expected to make a return to the field this weekend, according to interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich. Fantasy managers are certainly glad to see this news with many leagues starting their playoffs this week. Hall is expected to be a full-go, assuming he doesn't suffer any setbacks before Sunday. Hall should be treated as a strong RB1 against a struggling Jags defense for Week 15.

Breece Hall Questionable For Week 15 But Expected To Play

New York Jets running back Breece Hall (knee) is currently listed as questionable ahead of the Week 15 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars. However, interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich said that Hall looks good and is expected to play despite him missing practice on Wednesday and Thursday. Hall sat out of last week's game, which resulted in rookie Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis seeing increased playing time. The expectation is that the two of them would split up the carries once again if Hall is unable to play. If Hall is active, as expected, there's a big risk of a reduced workload against the Jags, giving him bust potential.

Breece Hall Skipping Another Practice

New York Jets running back Breece Hall (knee) was on the field and was carrying his helmet on Thursday for the portion of practice open to the media, but he immediately headed to the rehab area. It indicates that Hall is likely to pick up another DNP for the second straight day. Interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich indicated on Wednesday that Hall is still struggling through a knee injury that kept him out of the Week 14 overtime loss to the division-rival Miami Dolphins last Sunday. The 23-year-old hasn't been ruled out for this Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, but things aren't looking good for him right now, and fantasy managers should currently be planning to be without him. With Hall out last weekend, rookie Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis essentially split the backfield workload, with Davis finding the end zone. Both RBs would be in play as RB3/flex options against the Jags if Hall is ruled out again.
