Malik Nabers Officially Questionable For Week 17

New York Giant rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers (toe) is officially listed as questionable to play in Week 17 on Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts. Nabers did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday before upgrading to a limited practice on Friday. The 21-year-old first-rounder out of LSU said on Thursday that he expects to be more of a game-time decision on Sunday, but the Giants remain hopeful that he'll be able to suit up for the penultimate game of his first season in the NFL. Fantasy managers still playing for a title in Week 17 will want to check back on Sunday morning to see if Nabers will be able to play. He's been a top-15 wideout in fantasy this year and leads all wideouts in targets, so if he's active, Nabers needs to be in your lineup. If he's ruled out or is limited at all, Wan'Dale Robinson and Darius Slayton would be in line for more targets.

Tyrone Tracy Jr. To Return To Practice, Giants "Hopeful" He Plays Against Colts

New York Giants rookie running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. (ankle) will return to practice on Friday, according to head coach Brian Daboll. The Giants are "hopeful" that Tracy will be able to play on Sunday against the visiting Indianapolis Colts in Week 17. Tracy was unable to practice on Wednesday or Thursday after aggravating his ankle injury in the Week 16 blowout loss to the Atlanta Falcons. However, now that Tracy has returned to practice, he'll at least have a shot at playing this weekend. Fantasy managers will want to check back later on Friday, where Tracy will likely be listed as questionable. The 25-year-old has taken over lead-back duties from Devin Singletary for most of the year, but he's become a touchdown-dependent RB3/flex in fantasy with inefficient quarterback Drew Lock running the Giants' offense. If Tracy is ruled out, Singletary would be boosted to RB3/flex territory in Week 17.

Malik Nabers Will Practice Friday, Giants "Hopeful" He Plays In Week 17

New York Giants rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers (toe) will practice on Friday, according to head coach Brian Daboll. The Giants are "hopeful" that Nabers will play in Week 17 on Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts. Nabers did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday and said that he expects to be more of a game-time decision this weekend. The fact that the first-round pass-catcher is practicing on Friday is good news, but fantasy managers are probably going to have to check back on Sunday morning to make sure he's good to go. If active, the 21-year-old Nabers should be locked into all starting fantasy lineups with everything on the line in Week 17 despite the fact that struggling quarterback Drew Lock is set for another start. Nabers is currently the WR13 in half-PPR scoring and leads the NFL with 154 targets in his 13 games played.

Malik Nabers Calls Himself A "Gameday Decision" For Week 17

New York Giants rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers (toe), who is missing a second straight day of practice this week on Thursday, said he's going to try and get back on the field for Friday's practice. However, Nabers is calling himself a "gameday decision" for Sunday's contest against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 17. The 21-year-old first-rounder out of LSU will probably be questionable, at best, this weekend, but a return to practice on Friday would make him much more likely to suit up for fantasy managers in championship week in most leagues. Despite a messy quarterback situation in New York for all of Nabers' rookie season, he's currently three receptions shy of 100 in 2024 and has maintained must-start status in fantasy when he's active. If Nabers doesn't get the green light to play on Sunday, Wan'Dale Robinson and Darius Slayton would be the Giants' top receivers for quarterback Drew Lock.

Tyrone Tracy Jr. Not Practicing On Thursday

Updating a previous report, New York Giant rookie running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. (ankle) is not practicing on Thursday. Tracy also picked up a DNP on Wednesday's practice estimate, so he's firmly in danger of missing the Week 17 game this Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts. Fantasy managers in a bind at RB or those who are in need of a flex play this weekend might want to consider picking up Devin Singletary if he's available on the waiver wire. If Tracy is ruled out for Sunday's game, Singletary's volume boost in the backfield would make him an intriguing flex option against a Colts defense that has been bad against the run in 2024. Tracy is probably going to need to practice in some fashion on Friday to avoid being ruled out entirely after aggravating an ankle injury in the team's Week 16 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. Check back on his status on Friday.
