Monday Night Football Plays: Indianapolis Colts vs. Los Angeles Chargers

The Los Angeles Chargers will travel to take on the Indianapolis Colts with a chance to clinch a playoff berth.

The Chargers are starting to get healthy at the right time and appear to be a very dangerous team with Justin Herbert at the helm. On the flip side, the Colts’ shocking move to hire Jeff Saturday doesn’t appear to be paying off.

Justin Herbert Over 274.5 Passing Yards

(-115, BetRivers)

Justin Herbert is going to be working with all his playmakers on the outside for the second week in a row. His main guys are Mike Williams and Keenan Allen, who are both extremely talented and will look to take advantage of a below-average Colts defense. I fully expect Herbert and his talent receiving corps to be on point in a game that means everything to the Chargers and basically nothing to the Colts. Last week, the Colts defense blew a 33-0 lead and let Kirk Cousins throw for 460 yards in a game that set the NFL record for biggest comeback. With that being said, I highly doubt the Colts come out motivated and ready to play, which will be reflected on the defense side of the ball.

Nick Foles Over 228.5 Passing Yards

(-110,FanDuel )

Nick Foles is getting the start this Monday Night for the Colts. Foles is a veteran who has been through just about everything in his NFL career. I would expect him to lead an offense that comes out with a little spark under a new quarterback. I am also predicting the Chargers to come out and get an early lead which should allow Foles to throw the ball plenty to get the yardage needed. Foles has yet to start a game this year for the Colts, which means there is limited tape out on him. Typically, when a quarterback is starting for the first time, it is tough for a defense to plan for that. The Chargers will be susceptible to some big plays, and Foles is not afraid to take shots downfield.
