The Los Angeles Rams will travel to historic Lambeau Field to take on the Green Bay Packers in Week 15 of Monday Night Football.
The defending Super Bowl champs will start journeyman quarterback Baker Mayfield against the legendary Aaron Rodgers. The Packers are clinging to their slim playoff hopes, while the Rams are just hoping to keep the game competitive after what has been a disappointing year.
Baker Mayfield Under 30.5 Passing Attempts
(-105, DraftKings)
Baker Mayfield had a dream game last week after signing with the Los Angeles Rams just two days before the Thursday Night Football matchup with the Las Vegas Raiders. Mayfield was able to orchestrate two fourth-quarter drives for a dramatic comeback win. However, that will not be the case in this game. The game is being played at Lambeau Field in December and will be below freezing conditions. I expect Sean McVay to run the ball a ton in this game. The Packers run defense is in the bottom 5 in the league allowing 5.0 yards per carry. McVay is a very smart and talented play-caller, and I would expect him to take the ball out of Baker’s hand to try to shorten this game and keep it close as possible.
AJ Dillon Over 44.5 Rushing Yards
(-120, DraftKings)
AJ Dillon is built to get the ball in games like this one in the middle of December and below freezing conditions. He is the type of running back who gets stronger as the game/season goes on. Last week in Chicago, he had 18 carries for 93 yards, which is the most yards in a game he has had all year. The Packers will be giving him the ball a ton in this game. I project Dillon to receive somewhere between 13-17 carries, which should allow him to easily surpass 45 rushing yards. The Rams will also be without their All-Pro defensive lineman Aaron Donald.
