Aaron Jones A Fringe RB1 In Week 10

Minnesota Vikings running back Aaron Jones is set to square off against the Jacksonville Jaguars this Sunday in Week 10. The long-time Packer has been excellent during his first stint in Vikings Purple, piling up 810 yards from scrimmage through the team's first eight games. The only stat lacking is his touchdowns, as he has just three on the season. While Jacksonville has been solid against their opponents in the rushing department (4.4 YPC), they're tied for the second-most receptions allowed to the running back position (55). The 29-year-old has seen his yards per carry wane over the last two contests, so it might be tough sledding for him again. However, his work in the passing game should continue to keep his fantasy floor high. He ranks as RotoBaller's PPR RB11 ahead of Week 10's slate.

Sam Darnold A Strong QB1 Vs. Jags

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Sam Darnold will line up against the Jacksonville Jaguars this Sunday in a road matchup. Darnold has been overall solid this season, compiling 16 or more fantasy points in all but two outings. The 27-year-old is currently tied for fourth in the league with 17 passing scores and gets a gift of a matchup in Week 10. Jacksonville's defense presents as one of the worst against opposing passing attacks, allowing the second most yards (2,379), touchdowns (19), and yards per attempt (7.3) to their opponents. The only thing that could stop him from having a strong outing is if the game is not competitive, which is in the range of outcomes with Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence (shoulder) trending toward not playing. Darnold is RotoBaller's QB7 in this week's ranks.

Will Reichard Going On Injured Reserve

Minnesota Vikings kicker Will Reichard (quad) is being placed on Injured Reserve, forcing him to miss at least the next four games. In a corresponding move, the team signed free-agent kicker John Parker Romo. Reichard, a rookie sixth-round pick out of Alabama, was a perfect 14 of 14 on his field goal attempts before missing two kicks in the Sunday Night Football victory over the Indianapolis Colts. Evidently, his injury is somewhat to blame, and he will now be sidelined for the next stretch of games. Romo has not attempted a kick in the NFL, but he made 17 of his 19 field goal tries with the San Antonio Brahmas of the XFL in 2023.

Daniel Jones Remains Giants' Starting QB

New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll said that quarterback Daniel Jones remains the team's starting QB heading into the team's Week 10 battle against the Carolina Panthers in Germany this Sunday. Daboll also said that he won't change anything with the practice repetitions at the position this week. While Jones didn't do anything special in the Week 9 loss to the division-rival Washington Commanders on Sunday, going 20-for-26 for 174 yards, he did throw two touchdowns to end a 672-day TD drought at MetLife Stadium. The 27-year-old former first-rounder also ran for his first touchdown of the year in the 27-22 loss but added a lost fumble. Drew Lock will remain the backup to Jones in Germany, where Jones will be an upside QB2 in fantasy in an excellent matchup against Carolina's defense.

T.J. Hockenson Returns, Snags Three Grabs

Minnesota Vikings tight end T.J. Hockenson caught 3-of-4 targets for 27 yards in the team's 21-13 win over the Indianapolis Colts. It was the former Iowa Hawkeye's first taste of action since tearing his ACL and MCL late last season. The three receptions are slightly disappointing; still, it is excellent to see him escape the outing, seemingly still healthy. As the season progresses. Hockenson's snap count and opportunity share will likely continue rising, and he'll get eased in with another softer matchup his next time out in Week 10. The Vikings will take on the Jacksonville Jaguars next Sunday in what projects to be an easier go against a subpar Jags secondary.
