Tyler Conklin To Be Limited On Thursday

New York Jets interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich said that tight end Tyler Conklin (hip) will be limited in the team's first practice of the week on Thursday. Conklin apparently picked up a hip injury in the Week 5 loss to the Minnesota Vikings in London, where he had six catches on nine targets for 55 yards, his best performance of the season. As long as the 29-year-old doesn't suffer some sort of setback in the next two days, we think he'll be fine to play against the division-rival Buffalo Bills in Week 6 on Monday Night Football. He is coming off his best showing in 2024 and could get more involved in the passing game moving forward with pass-game coordinator Todd Downing taking over play-calling duties from offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett. Conklin's fantasy needle is ticking up right now against a vulnerable Bills defense. He'll have plenty of streaming appeal for fantasy managers this week as a low-end TE1.

Justin Herbert Limited With Ankle Injury Wednesday

Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert (ankle) was limited during practice on Wednesday. While a limited status on the first practice of the week isn't anything to panic about, it's a bit unexpected that Herbert is still dealing with his ankle injury on the other side of the Chargers' Week 5 bye. The 26-year-old has been somewhat underwhelming from a fantasy perspective this year, completing 59 of 91 passes for 578 yards, five touchdowns, and two turnovers. As of now, he's trending toward playing against the Denver Broncos in Week 6 and should be treated as a mid-to-low QB2 for the time being.

Najee Harris Leads Steelers In Receiving In Week 5 Loss

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris handled 14 carries for 42 yards and hauled in both his targets for 35 yards in a Week 5 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Although the numbers don't necessarily reflect it, Harris was the focal point of Pittsburgh's offense on Sunday night. He managed to lead the team in receiving yards despite seeing just two opportunities in the passing game. His biggest play of the contest came on a screen pass from quarterback Justin Fields that resulted in a 20-yard gain. With Jaylen Warren (knee) inactive the past two weeks, Harris has seen the vast majority of touches in the Steelers' backfield but has been underwhelming from a fantasy perspective. The fourth-year pro will hope to turn things around against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 6.

Tyler Conklin Catches Six Passes In Week 5 Loss

New York Jets tight end Tyler Conklin turned in another productive game in a 23-17 loss to the Minnesota Vikings in Week 5. Conklin caught six of his nine targets for 55 yards in the loss, ranking second on the team in catches and receiving yards while finishing third in targets. The veteran tight end has emerged as a quality part of the New York offense over the past, having caught 15 passes over that span. Working his way into the low-end TE1 conversation, Conklin will next take on the Buffalo Bills in Week 6's Monday night game.

Mike Williams Goes For 25 Yards In Week 5

New York Jets wide receiver Mike Williams caught two of his four targets for 25 yards in a 23-17 loss to the Minnesota Vikings in Week 5. Williams had been trending upward in the Jets offense over the past few weeks but he took a step back on a day where the team threw the ball 54 times against a leaky Minnesota secondary. The veteran wideout now has 10 catches for 145 scoreless yards over five games this season. He will look to carve out a larger role in his team's offense in Week 6's Monday night game against the Buffalo Bills.
