As expected, Las Vegas Raiders running back Zamir White spearheaded the Raiders' ground game with 13 carries for 44 yards while catching both of his targets for two yards in Sunday's 22-10 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. His performance was lackluster, with minimal gains and a fumble that didn't help his case. Alexander Mattison out-snapped White 36 to 23 in Week 1. Despite leading in carries, his efficiency was poor, and the fumble could affect his future touches. It doesn't help fantasy managers that Mattison caught a 31-year touchdown from Gardner Minshew II. White's role might not shrink immediately, but his fantasy stock is shaky. Facing a tough Ravens defense in Week 2, White is considered a flex option with caution; his value could dip if he doesn't secure the ball better.

In a game where every play counted, Las Vegas quarterback Gardner Minshew II managed 257 passing yards with a 31-yard touchdown to Alexander Mattison. However, his Raiders debut was marred by an interception and a critical fumble in the Raiders' 22-10 defeat to the Chargers. His stats were solid, distributing the ball well among his receivers, yet the fumble was a turning point, gifting the Chargers points. Next week, with the stingy Baltimore Ravens defense on tap, Minshew's role as a facilitator might benefit his receivers more than himself. He's a risky start in fantasy, suitable for deeper or superflex, with his ceiling limited by turnovers.

Las Vegas Raiders running back Dylan Laube will be a healthy scratch on Sunday when the Raiders take on the Chargers. The Chargers will enter Week 1 with Zamir White, Alexander Mattison, and Ameer Abdullah as their top-three running backs. Laube had created intrigue throughout the preseason and training camp with solid play. However, the sixth-round pick out of the University of New Hampshire did not do enough to earn himself a role on game day, at least in Week 1. His next change to log regular season playing time will be in Week 2 against the Ravens

Las Vegas Raiders' first-round tight end Brock Bowers (foot) is off the injury report and ready to make his NFL debut this Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers. After limited participation in practice on Wednesday and Thursday, Bowers was a full participant on Friday, confirming his availability for the game. Bowers, selected in the 2024 first round, is expected to be a key target in the Raiders' passing game, including WRs Davante Adams and Jakobi Meyers, as well as fellow TE Michael Mayer, a 2023 second-round pick. Known for his impressive college career at Georgia, where he had three consecutive seasons with over 50 catches, Bowers is regarded as one of the top tight end prospects to enter the NFL. With a favorable matchup against the Chargers' relatively weaker linebackers, Bowers' ability to read coverages and excel after the catch makes him a strong start for Week 1.

Las Vegas Raiders rookie first-round tight end Brock Bowers (foot) was once again limited in practice on Thursday leading up to the Week 1 contest on Sunday against the division-rival Los Angeles Chargers at Sofi Stadium. The Raiders are just being cautious with their young tight end, as head coach Antonio Pierce has said that he fully expects Bowers to suit up this weekend for his regular-season NFL debut. The 21-year-old from Georgia certainly has a high ceiling at the next level, but he could get off to a slow start with last year's second-rounder, Michael Mayer, also expected to be utilized in this offense. Fantasy managers expecting Bowers to be this year's Sam LaPorta might be very disappointed, but he will still be on the TE1/2 borderline in Week 1 against the Bolts for his yards-after-the-catch prowess with the football in his hands.
