Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert (chest) put in his second straight day of limited practice this week on Thursday after he was held out of last Thursday night's loss to the division-rival Buffalo Bills on a short week. In addition, RB Jeff Wilson Jr. (oblique) upgraded to a full practice on Thursday after he was limited on Wednesday. The 32-year-old Mostert has apparently improved since last week, but he could still be questionable for the Week 3 game at Lumen Field against the Seattle Seahawks. In the Week 1 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, Mostert played 44% of the offensive snaps behind De'Von Achane and had only six carries for a measly nine rushing yards while catching two passes for 10 yards. Miami is going to rotate their backs in 2024, but it's clear that Achane is the favorite to lead in touches, and he also has the most upside of any Dolphins back. Mostert heads into Week 3 as a shaky fantasy RB.

Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert (chest) is practicing on Wednesday after missing last week's Thursday Night Football contest against the Buffalo Bills with a chest injury. The 32-year-old had a poor showing in Week 1 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, totaling just 19 yards on seven touches. Miami's backfield is already becoming tricky to navigate, and the fantasy ceiling of all the Miami backs could take a hit while Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) is sidelined. Sophomore running back De'Von Achane remains a must-start option, but Mostert is likely to see fewer red-zone and goal-line opportunities over the next handful of games after he scored 21 touchdowns in 2023. If Mostert is active this week, consider him a shaky flex play for the Week 3 contest against the Seattle Seahawks.

Las Vegas Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce is not giving up on struggling running back Zamir White and wants to keep him heavily involved in the team's backfield moving forward. "I'm gonna keep pumping him up. Our goal is to get 20-plus touches with him. That was the goal this week, didn't happen. That's gonna be the goal this week and every week while he's the starting running back and I'm here," Pierce said. White has fallen flat through two weeks as Vegas' lead back in 2024, averaging a career-low 3.1 yards per carry on 22 attempts (68 yards) while catching five passes for only 16 yards. The Raiders basically abandoned the run in the Week 2 upset win over the Ravens, and it was concerning that backup Alexander Mattison vultured a touchdown. White is still the Raiders' go-to back, but volume could be a concern all year long. The good news is he has a smash Week 3 spot against the Carolina Panthers.

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith played a nearly flawless game in Week 2 against the New England Patriots. Smith threw for 327 yards and a touchdown. He had a 75% completion percentage. Smith is falling back into the hyper-accurate form that he displayed in the 2022 season. His completion percentage does not account for the several drops by Seahawks pass catchers. Smith seems to be comfortable operating new offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb's offense. His play is supporting the fantasy value of other Seahawks players as well. Look for Smith to continue his solid start in Week 3 against the Miami Dolphins.

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith is in store for his usual 15-20 fantasy points in Week 2 against the New England Patriots. Smith only threw for 171 yards in Week 1. He salvaged his fantasy day with a 34-yard touchdown run. The good news is that once Smith settled into offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb's offense, he started to sling the ball like we know he can. His completion percentage was 72% and he currently sits at 10th in the league in QBR. This does not project to be a very high-scoring game so look for Smith to hover around 200 passing yards and a couple of touchdowns.
